The Financial Times that warns the Brazil-variant of the virus has been found to evade natural immunity.
The P. 1 Covid-19 variant that originated in Brazil and has spread to more than 25 countries is around twice as transmissible as some other strains and is more likely to evade the natural immunity people usually develop from prior infection, according to a new international study.
...
It was also “able to evade 25-61 per cent of protective immunity elicited by previous infection” with any earlier variant, the researchers found, in a sign that current vaccines could also be less effective against it.

Okay and? This is what happens, they mutate into less lethal strains of of the base virus, it's called viral attenuation and it's a good thing. Also, they said it could avoid "natural immunity" correct me if I am wrong but weren't we told that the original virus had no natural immunity? Someone slipped up which means that this while bears some truth most likely is just like before, overhyped panic porn.

So in other words it doesn't matter if we lock down or not so we may as well avoid additional economic damage.
Maybe we should focus on being as healthy a population as possible so we can weather these types of things instead of being a society of fat sickly people.*PUREBLOOD CREW*

I seem to recall some poster on this forum criticizing Brazil's response and warning that if this wasn't coordinated on a GLOBAL scale to reduce the spread, then we would all suffer again. I wonder who that poster was. Probably a very smart very well educated man. Probably very dashing too. With a huge penis. Definitely.

All the masks and lockdowns do is slow things down and based on numbers we've seen they barely do that. It's an exercise in futility.
We were told the only reason we're even doing anything is fear over hospital capacity. So why we're not open as much as possible as per hospital capacity is nothing more than a governmental abuse of power.*PUREBLOOD CREW*
