I probably need an intervention at this point, that I'm even considering deep diving into this series... my backlog is enough to keep me busy for years.
However, that trailer for Total War Warhammer 3 looked pretty sick.
Do I get started here? Start with the first, pick it up, grab some DLC, then the second and the same? Finally grabbing 3 when it hits?
Anyone play this series? I haven't and neither have I played any Total War games, they look fun, but I've been console/handheld since about 2008 and until recently grabbing a decent midrange gaming laptop.

One of my favorite PC games. Get 1 & 2 at the same time, and just install 2. When you own both you get a giant campaign option that is a lot of fun, and all original factions. Owning 3 down the road will give you the same feature. Then get DLC for whatever races you like the most. All DLC for the 1st game carries over into 2nd game and will be true for the 3rd as well.
