So in the DC TV/radio market we are being bombarded with MGM, Fanduel and other sports betting ads every few minutes.
I am curious if the same is happening in your area and what your opinion is on it.
I have done the casual superbowl bet but nothing like what they are pushing. Is anyone into it?

I play quite a bit of daily fantasy sports, more to entertain myself as opposed to earning income. I do pretty well in NFL and CFB and then proceed to donate what I make back into the UFC and NBA, for reasons unknown.
Lifetime, I would think I’m mildly up, but if you put a hourly rate on the amount of time I spend on it, I’m not making much. But I do enjoy it and I never bet more than I am willing to lose.To resist despair

absolutely zero interest in betting other than an annual 60 dollars to play in the same FFL for the last 15 years.

I bet on NCAA football games when I was in Vegas in oct 2019 and thats about it, came out ahead that time and not willing to press my luck too far.

I don't bet because I learned the hard way after hitting rock-bottom. About 15 years ago, I lost my life savings and my house to gambling. My wife left me and I had to look my young son in the eye as he tearfully asked "why don't we have a house anymore daddy?" It just tore me up inside like you can't imagine and I haven't gambled since. Just kidding...none of that actually happened. I'm just not that interested in gambling, so I don't do it.

This was a great 4 part series I recently watched. As for your question as to why it seems we're suddenly being inundated with advertising for sports gambling.....You're not imagining things. The first 10 seconds of the trailer for Action explains it.

Highly recommend watching this if you can. I don't even gamble but they did an amazing job of pulling you into that world and making you actually feel the raw energy and excitement of betting on sports.
