Second one is even better srs. As a shooter they're just okay - I don't like how loose it felt, and their isn't enough indication you're taking damage so sometimes you'll just drop dead when you thought you were doing well. But the story, the world etc is S Tier, so many epic and insane moments across both games.
Smooth Seas don't make Strong Sailors. Keep your head up.

I have played all three of the 'modern' games. All worth a play as they are solid, intense FPS.
As an achievement hunter, I did not even attempt 'Mein Leben'. That chit just looks too crazy and hard. I played on IADI (next diff down) and died all the time."Honor is something that all men are born with. It cannot be taken from you nor can it be granted. It must only not be lost."

This train.
And even New Colossus is an inexcusable downgrade compared to New Order/Old Blood in terms of story, characters, mission structure/settings, and combat pacing.
I could go off over each category, but picking one out of a hat, how about the missions and settings?
"Ooooh! The Nazis have invaded America! Where, oh where shall our exciting new journey take us? Well, if you were looking for something outside of the dingy browns and greys, then you're fresh out of luck. The entire game takes you through a bunch of recycled areas and somehow pick the most boring places imaginable:
- New York! Is this going to look like some dystopian, alternate world like The Man in the High Castle? Nah. They nuked it, so it's basically a bunch of rubble that makes Fallout 3 played with a sepia reshade look vibrant, with level design so poorly laid out that you could run around in circles trying to figure out which random bits of debris is where the next objective.
- New Mexico, which is where that bit with the Nazi parade in the town with klan members walking around in that the trailers. Want to know what you do here? WALKING SEGMENT that takes you to an underground bunker. And I hope you like that aesthetic because I swear, 75% of this game feels like it's either in an underground bunker or some above ground industrial design with a different filter.
- New... New Orleans? Was MachineGames just picking places with "New" in the title? Who in the fukk cares about Louisiana in the first place? Our own government didn't even care about Louisiana when it was flooded, so why would the Nazis? Like imagine fighting off a reverse D-Day situation, or later an occupied Washington D.C....
- Washington D.C. Oh, it's in here alright. AS A FUKKING DREAM SEQUENCE.
- Texas, for a WALKING SIMULATOR LEVEL. Literally just an entire walking simulator where you walk from point A to B to C clicking on buttons to have flashbacks.
Best part about New Mexico and Texas is that you actually do get two mini side missions. The first lets you fight in the city... except it's at night when nobody's f*cking around. Similar with Texas; they took some of the same generic sh*t heap assets they used in the walking simulator portion, turned off the lights, and had you do another generic side mission.
The setting alone is squandered so bad that the rubbish Turning Point game from the 360 era had a more interesting take on Nazis invading America.
What I wanted was Doom 2016 but with ripping and tearing Nazis. What I got was Blasko discovering his first period.I will stand firm, I refuse to kneel - The fury in me is divine
My dark grave awaits, my fate is revealed - But I'm not afraid to die
