In the news, it said that the South African and Brazilian Covid virus has already mutated to the point where current vaccines are ineffective.

Not true. Not as effective at completely stopping infection spread with the SA and Brazil variants, but vaccinated people are not getting hospitalized or dying. The worst that can be said is some more vaccinated people are still testing positive for the SA and Brazil variants and all are having minor symptoms or are asymptomatic, 2-3 weeks post vaccination. Serious illness and deaths stopped, no matter the variant.

I work in a healthcare facility. When they eventually mandate I get the vaccine (and they probably will) I'll opt for the JnJ vaccine. Its just 1 dose and its encapsulated in the adenovirus (the common cold) so its safer....for the most part, lol.

I've worked in drug manufacturing (Merck). Usually when a company is hit with a heavy suit like the issue with the talc powder, they're scrutinized with a fine tooth comb by internal and external audits (The Board of Pharmacy AND the FDA) so their products will be very safe. When you're as big of a company as JnJ you don't care about the fines as much as you care about the bad PR. You can guarantee they're doing everything they can (looking through all their products, old and new) to make sure everything is kosher.

Fact of the matter is we do a lot of harmful chit to our bodies. The very people paranoid about this vaccine probable chew tobacco, buy mystery dick pills from gas stations and buy 20 piece McNuggest from McDonalds (wherein the 3rd ingredient in the nugget is chicken)

yeah, and this goes for pretty much everything. The vast majority of drug research starts at colleges and Universities (which are government funded) and even the handful of facilities that are privately funded still have to go through the FDA for their final approval process.....and this isn't just drugs. All the produce you eat is managed by the USDA. So unless you never get sick and live on a farm with cows and pigs and chickens, and grow your own corn and rice and potatoes and make your own cheese, the VAST majority of everything you put in your body is regulated by the government.
