In the GBU they referred to Eastwood several times as a "golden hair angel" or played music that was angelic. I think that's a really interesting comment from Italians on what they thought America was like. If an angel showed up in the US to help you, it would be the Eastwood kind.

Just randomly watched The Tall Men starring Clark Gable the other day. I've been missing out by not watching 40s-50s westerns
No ridiculous SJWism and general modern movie tinsel, just real sets and professionals showing their acting chops. I like the theme of westerns being immediately post Civil-War too. Adds an interesting political context.

I love westerns. I watched Bonanza every weekend when I was a kid. Butch Cassidy and the sundance kid is very good, Tombstone aswell. Also 3:10 to Yuma, which is newer compared to a lot of westerns, but it's great.
