Overthinking my balls off

So yeah I don’t post much, just kinda lurk, hope I’m not crucified for it.

I’ll keep it simple since I know I don’t enjoy reading essays.

I am 25.

Dated girl X for 3 years- met junior year of college (6th year graduate, small brain s
Live in NY her in MA (met at school in MA).
Broke up b/c long distance and I am a rash dumb person.

Met girl Y 10 months later back in MA as I work here. She is 4 years younger and same school I went to. She’s awesome, like her a lot, likes me a lot.

Much easier when I didn’t care- talked to several girls and hung with her when I wanted to. Awesome time. Hung more and more- started developing actual feelings. As did she, as she says. Couple red flags, friends with her ex, etc.

Bothered me, semi broke it off couple times only to be convinced I’m being irrational as I feel I might be.

Introduce girl Z, awesome, hung several times met her friends, very genuine.

Been blowing off girl Z due to relationship with girl Y. Unsure if girl Y is fully invested, mostly due to my own overthought.

Any of you guys ever rarely overthink but happens when you start to really like someone?

Sucks. Highly value myself, do a lot to keep myself busy (hit 450 DL PR @ 155 BW , piano, chemical engineering degree, etc)
But still overthink occasionally and find myself making irrational game time decisions such as texting girl X or contemplating hanging out with girl Z who wants to. All the while dating girl Y.

Yeah, appreciate any genuine responses.

you just have too many options right now and are overconfident and devaluing these women such that any small flaw is a good reason to start considering another. Well since you're young, you do w/e, but in 5 or so years, you might have to start thinking about what you want in life and what flaws are tolerable since nobody is perfect. So I wouldn't call this overthinking, I'd just call it being spoiled, like a lot of women on dating sites are.

don't commit to any of them and it will sort itself out. the choice will be clear.

i have been there, and the worst thing you can do is commit too soon and then immediately be cheating on somebody. learn how to win and ride the wave while it lasts brother.
