Same for me that it comes and goes but very random when it does occur
I never identified a trigger to cause it, or anything that would help if it did set in either
At certain points i will just give up trying to sleep for time being and tried to do something somewhat active
That will usually solve it well enough to try again to sleep 15-30m later if i need toNascar American

Deep tissue massage can help and /with foam rolling. This is why I give the hubby a massage almost every day, it’s pretty much stopped now. Before he would jerk his legs every 30-40 seconds and wake me up
Iron deficiency (anemia) can cause it
If you can, stopping caffeine can help too
