Chief Red Deer of the Potawatomi tribe named MTPockets when they met to trade some furs for some buffalo meat. After MT gave the Chief all he had, the Chief asked MT if he had more. MT pulled out his pockets to show the Chief they were empty. Chief Red Deer named him MTPockets and it kind of stuck.

You guys are a funny bunch. Did ya miss me Tater? ha ha
No I wasn't on the trap line but the next best thing. I was in need of a challenging solo adventure so I hired a bush plane to drop me into a remote lake and spent the next 12 days on Snow shoes in temps between -10 to -32 navigating my way 116 miles to a predetermined rendezvous point. It was a grind and indeed a challenge but it was an amazing trip and I look forward to my next one.
So what have you old Bass Turds been up to? Just at a glance, I see a bunch of old men who can't crack an egg, The Atheists and Christians are arm wrestling again, warning Atheists, the Christians have Holy Water and trust me that $hit burns, I see BH got an old picture up here, sort of like where's Waldo, but this one is like Spot the Mexican. Something going on with the Trannies, I'll have to get Tater to give me the run down on that one. Chaz still posting gibberish and the pull up Queen changed her AVI. Good to see Mark and Bosko still sucking air. That's all I seen so far, I am going to poke around now and see what else I missed.Air Force Veteran 1976 - 1999 - Cannabis Enthusiast since the 1960's

No $hit? You still do that at 62?! That sounds pretty intense. Obviously water would be easy, what do you carry for food, freeze dried? I’ve always wanted to do something like that, but never have. Pretty dangerous solo trip. Do you carry a locator beacon for something like that or just figure if you break a leg you will just become one with the earth?

LMAO @ Midget porn
Yeah, ha ha, my friends all had the same reaction, you are going to do what? what if you die LMAO, I just told them I couldn't think of a better way to go. lol. I had a back pack and a pulk, Food was easy and fairly light, I took 1.5 lbs of rice, a bag of jerky, 3 pounds of bacon (fats are important) A jar of bear fat, a bag of granola bars, bag of oatmeal and big bag of trail mix the food was less than 10 lbs, Never brought any meats there was no shortage of fish and I always set up camp early enough that I could set a few snares and ended up getting 5 rabbits over all. Yes on the Locator. the only electronics I took was my buddies inReach he insisted I take it. I didn't use it for navigation though, Because of my gps, it's been years since I used a map and compass and used this trip to freshen up my skills in that area. The cold temps made travel easy because I didn't sweat but it also proved to be a challenge staying hydrated with everything freezing so fast, it meant cutting holes and boiling water a couple of times a day (purification], I packed a twig stove and that proved to be invaluable for this and the boil time also gave me an opportunity to do some fishing. I would only do it solo, being out there all alone is part of the excitement, I have done similar trips with others and I really prefer it solo.

Wow sounds like a great adventure. I have several of those twig stoves one emberlit and several knockoffs. They are impressive in how fast/hot they will burn. Really does sound like a neat trip. I’d like to do some multi-day adventure hikes this summer with the family. Planning a vacation to mountains somewhere, not sure where yet.

Thanks. But I didn’t really go anywhere. The coyote was in the woods behind my house. Honestly it really wasn’t much, they’re are a few around and generally the coyotes are cool, always around but rarely visible. The charm wears off around 1:00 a.m. at night, when the coyote decides it’s time to fill the forest with its intolerable shrieking bark, waking every dog in a two-mile radius, including all four of mine, at least one or two of whom will decide the thing to do is to have a barking contest.

Dude, that right there is the awesome start to a riveting novel.
and MPT: If while trekking through the wilderness, you should have occasion to wander apon (or trip over) the meaning of life, you will of course come back and tell us?
meaning; DO NOT go and achieve maximum-power enlightenment, and not come back to share that chit, bro.

Oh; you mean that kind of jibberish???

Les Stroud is pretty hardcore. I saw his Bigfoot shows that I think were made in 2020. The only part that blew some credibility was the guide's video of the Bigfoot head. Ridiculous. Les did not say he believed it was real maybe out of being polite to the guide, but it didn't help the creds, IMO.
