Steiner in less than 3 seconds?
Riddle is 200 pounds and a backstage fight has no rules or ref. Respect he was a warmup guy in the UFC but that doesn't mean he's taking Steiner anywhere near his prime. All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.

Steiner has a great wrestling background and while Riddle is the better fighter, the size advantage would be too much to overcome that way. There is no way to stop a takedown from a trained wrestler that much bigger than you.
I am not shure how Steiner's health was in 1999. He wasn't at in his prime athletically at his teched-up state and had abandoned the more acrobatic style he used a couple of years earlier.
2002 Steiner, when he feuded with Triple H, already had one really bad leg and could barely move there. If 1999 Steiner already has some nasty, but less noticeable impairments, I would go with Riddle.
He is likely lighter than that. He fought at Welterweight and Middleweight and does not seem much bulkier now.

Riddle is a former professional fighter and you guys think a big gym guy like Steiner would win? What would happen is likely what did to cm punk. Steiner would come in very hot and want to turn that into a slugfest and Riddle would then put Steiner on his back and start mounting him or even kill with a submission. Some of you are right, there are no rules in backstage fights, so what's stopping Riddle from ending the fight with a chop to Steiner's throat and watch him die which would be illegal in the cage?

Steiner is more than just a big gym guy:
He was an amateur wrestler at 190 lbs during his time at the University of Michigan. He became a three-time Big 10 runner-up after finishing fifth as a freshman. In 1986, he became an NCAA Division I All-American and placed sixth in the nation his senior year. His brother, Rick Steiner, is also a professional wrestler.Last edited by I3igAl; 02-26-2021 at 07:27 AM.

Ok, so Steiner is either going to use his takedown defense to standup with Riddle or he'll just go for a takedown.. either way hes going to have to fight standing or on the ground. You cant depend on hugging, rolling, squeezing, and rag dolling because that wont happen because Riddle has takedown defense too. Steiner has to worry about Riddles boxing or jujitsu which are both good.

In addition to his superior wrestling and significant size and strength advantage, Steiner came up in a time when guys getting “stretched” with catch wrestling (If you’re unaware Akira Maeda trained Carlos Gracie which led to the creation of BJJ) moves was part of the training process. Hulk Hogan famously had his arm or leg broken on his first day of training to send a message.
So he wouldn’t be unfamiliar with all of the BJJ moves and would have some that he could apply as well.
Steiner was a phenomenal athlete, elite wrestler with at least a moderate knowledge of submissions and a significant size and strength advantage. You are discounting what a difference that could make.Of all tyrannies a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. -C.S. Lewis

Unusual lack of respect for MMA here, just like MMA fans have no respect for wrestlers and have zero clue of how tough wrestlers are and how skilled and athletic one has to be to be a pro wrestler and how close pro wrestling is to real fighting and how well it translates.
We have only little/some idea of how Steiner would do in an actual fight, since we never saw him in one. Just some stories. I assume he can take a punch and has at least reasonable submission defense enough to not get quickly choked by an MMA or grappling pro. If I had to bet blind on this fight without seeing Scott spar and roll I would think Scott 70% to win, since I guess he was huge, but I would not want to bet. For all I know Steiner can get front kicked in the mouth in a spilt second and get KTFO.

We are talking about who'd win in a real fight and you just cant stop talking about f*cking wrestling. Dude, Riddle was a professional fighter for the UFC and was getting trained by high level wrestling coaches who are possibly some of the best in the world.. in this case against Riddle, I bet Steiner would move way too slow and gas if he faught the weight he did. Also NO! Even if you claim that Steiner could be familiar with all jujitsu submissions then you're delusional, bro. How can that be true if hes never trained it? Since Steiner has never trained it & if he's rolling with a black belt he would never transition out of something or even see the submission coming.. riddle will break him!!!
Ok you're right, Steiner has the advantage of size and strength.. you've never heard of fighters sparring at open weight? Riddle has the advantage of his fight IQ, experience (13 professional fights), his stand up, and ground game beyond the little knowledge I see you even have. Good job proving your point that Hulk Hogan is too weak of a bitch and got hurt. What does it matter? Hes the most terrible unathletic and stiffest person ever in a wrestling ring. Hogan cant fight anyway!
