I typically find that reading news sites to be a tedious task and spend more time trying to figure out what articles are relevant.
I like to read weekly and monthly macro updates from some asset managers and I find that gives me everything I need. I honestly don't even read the full reports just the executive summaries.
In saying that, curious as to what you guys read to start your day in order to stay in the loop with relevant information.
Cheers

What do you mean?
Like a lot of the brokerages and PWM shops will have a team that does research on managers and they build asset allocation models and advise the PWM managers who work for the firm what funds to purchase and in what spaces (NA, Global Int, FI etc) and they also build recommended lists that include individual names as well as funds as well as determine risk ratings.
Is that you?

I don't post on Linkedin or give my personal views on any of that. I simply relay information my own firm provides me or regurgitate what others are saying. For example, I read a lot of PIMCO stuff:

Financial news is a joke. The market isnt up because some douchebag made a statement or some event happened the market is up or down because of supply and demand, buyers vs sellers. It's so dumb when they put out articles like pic related and claim thats why the market is moving. Educate yourself on finance and you will never have a need to read any of that trash.
For anything else just read your local business journal, will probably give you more useful info you need about business in your area than the globohomo news.

Yeah I know lol
I only read a about financial news for work. My clients read that chit and I need to be conversational. I have a degree in finance and am not actually trying to learn about finance via financial news or for my own personal investing.
The reason I read macro outlooks is because it’s pretty succinct and I don’t have to sort through a bunch of pointless articles. They also provide executive summaries which saves me even more time.
Just seeing if anyone had any other sources where I can do the bare minimum to be conversational about what’s going on in the world.
