Take some time off from dating to focus on yourself and do self care and think about your goals and what you want from a man. And then after that recovery time you can date new people and find someone who is a better fit for you.

now bf believes i will always be obsessed with dating/marrying guys with ´prestigious careers´ but not this guy because he cheated, however, i will waste his time while looking for a better man to settle

which is not true, i sometimes push him to do better for himself, not for others to see and also i don´t compare him with others, the socio-economic environment plays a huge role in becoming a surgeon for example. my ex comes from wealth, not like my actual bf. i don´t care to compare

I have to stay away from him rn, because I saw him as my best friend in the last period of time and he isn´t, i am again alone with all my plans and thoughts about the future. Nobody to talk to like I could talk to him. He was great about that, always encouraged all my dreams no matter how stupid they were.
