My guess: dem dere stimulus checks that weren't supposed to come out of our tax credits came out of our tax credits

Yep I certainly did.

Pretty low tax return for me this year due to dividend & interest payouts and capital gains tax but it's all good.

Usually between 500 back and 500 owe, havent done the taxes for 2020 though so cant comment on that.

Double this. Without knowing this first, don't complain about your tax return. Unless you had a drastic change in income or other key factor then your taxes should be pretty similar.
