Not anti vax in any way, just want more time/science behind this vaccine which feels very, very rushed.
I turn 40 in 2023 and have been rough-draft dreaming of Italy with my wife for my birthday week, hopefully this is all over by then. Wanted to do Japan this year but I don't think they'll even let people in.Smooth Seas don't make Strong Sailors. Keep your head up.

Stage 3 trials with 100k+ people and 100M vaccinated already is untested now?
No evidence of sterilization at all.
Nearly all of the waiting time for vax development is stage 2 (where companies debate if its worth investing billions or not) and FDA paperwork. This went fast because the gov't said, "Fuk it, if it doesnt work, we'll still pay for it. Just haul ass."
The "side effects" are immune response, which is a good thing. It is stronger in younger people because they have stronger immune systems.

Been to almost 50 countries and love smashing foreign cunny so I don't think I could stay home for the rest of my life. Not rushing out to get it any time soon though.

I have been reading about this vaccine passport proof thing for about a month. I think it will be required to do basic chit and you will be refused services if you don't have stamps or whatever they require.
So yeah I will do 2 or 1 Johnson and Johnson just to be able to do stuff.sums it up a thread will start off promising and then turn into name calling..
The easiest way to tell when an argument has no merit is when the protagonist mixes in some personal insults.

Good points!
But couldn’t someone be wary of the long-term effects? Would that be a legit concern or developing problems years after receiving the vaccine? You tell me, can major side-effects occur long after the initial shot?
We haven’t had his vaccine around that long yet... the multiple years long.

The only international travel I would ever care to do is to go to Iceland to lift the Husafell.
At this point, I would not get the vaccine just for that but I am also not ready for it yet anyway so in a few years I might change my mind.[]---[] Equipment Crew #37 []---[]

Traveling now is crap. Last summer was still okay and nobody seemed to care about Covid on the west coast of Italy and Cosica.
Now everything is closed, you have to pay constantly for these $100 tests, sometimes three a flight each direction only to be at an empty hotel with no service or amenities in a city with takeout coffee only.
Go to Florida if you want a vacation, or stay home.
They are saying even the vaccine does not make you safe since you can still make others sick. Why risk injecting an experiment?

Sure, but it would be unusual. Its virtually unheard of to experience side effects after 6 weeks of injection with other vaccines. Early trial participants are at more than 6 months.
We dont know the long term effects of COVID, either. It is doing some weird sht to some people (MIS-C, long covid, strange inflamation and blood clotting).
The only legit SE from the vaccine to be concerned about is anaphylaxis (which is very treatable in a clinical setting). Bells Palsy is extremely rare (like less than 200 cases in 60M vaccinations) and in most cases goes away on its own with no lasting effects.

Yes, 100%. I'm not an anti-vaxxer, but I also do sympathize with people who are not part of the at-risk population for COVID being a bit skeptical of the vaccine. That said, I love traveling to different countries, which is mainly what I spend my PTO on and would take it if it allows me to get on with life at this point. To me, there's no sense in living till 90 if the rest of my life is similar to 2020/early 2021 with all the restrictions, mask wearing, fear mongering, etc. I'd rather die at 40 and enjoy the last ten years of my life from a vaccine side effect than live like this for 60 more miserable years (dead fkin srs).
