What are some things you wish you knew about when you were younger that you know now?
If there was a teaching service at the time you were younger to teach you these life lessons, would you have been open to that idea?

Be aware of major legal problems that can put you in prison
Stay away from sloots - like completely
Rub one out before dating/meeting up to make sure the love is real
marry someone only if you could deal with them if they ever divorced you/ and know that divorce is a probable end result
Just rub one out the majority of the time actually, and don't get married unless you're one thousand percent sure cause child custody/divorce is one of the worst experiences in the world
If you don't want kids, don't let people force you into having them. Having them doesn't change your feelings about it (although you will naturally love your kids, and they are great)

Kids part is interesting. I wonder if I should regret not having kids. I think I regret not having them to try to save my marriage. Or if they were perfect kids without any problems at all I’d regret not having them. But I can totally see myself secretly regretting having kids if I did have them. Especially if they had any issues.

you can be frugal and save, but dont be cheap/afraid to spend money. that scarcity mindset will spill over to other areas of your life. that money is doing nothing forvyou sitting there, if you dont want to spend it, at least invest some of it.
have enough saved at all times for at least 6 months of expenses.
have another job skill outside of your primary feild. the most specialized/higher up you are, the longer it takes (typically) to find another job, so have sonething you could do for a few months in the event you get laid off.
buy items for your hobbies that you arent attached to and that will maintain or increase in value over time. Ex. collector edition/limited run instruments.
dont cheap out on things you use reguarily or things you will use for several years, you wont notice difference in money over time. many times its cheaper to buy what you want the first time instead of upgrading later.
*especially now*, stock up on wearables/replacement parts for things you go through (ex bike chains, brake pads). shortages

"Because the thing about repairing, maintaining, and cleaning is it’s not an adventure. There’s no way to do it so wrong you might die. It’s just work. And the bottom line is, some people are okay going to work, and some people … well, some people would rather die. Each of us gets to choose.”
