Lol at forcing a 40% labor cost increase in an industry that’s has less than 2% profit margins and being upset when they close up shop. No doubt Amazon , which likely has influence on the city council, is again smiling at this as their competitors get bled dry

Extra pay for working in hazardous conditions is pretty standard lol. I have a friend making 2g's a day working in a vaccination center, and they get given PPE and paid time off if they get sick. Isn’t it common knowledge that grocery stores operate on razor thin margins? I mean I barely have any business experience but even I know this. How do Seattle city politicians not understand mandating hazard pay would cripple the business?
