It amazes me that I still know people who will defend that place and their prices. Recently, someone admitted to me that the place is average and overpriced. Their n defense however, was "Yeah, but you'll overpay anywhere for a place that sells beef nowadays".

Total bs. On a good day, a Burger King whooper with cheese meal is decently close to as good as what 5 Guys is, yet costs about 40% less. Any random local bad outfit will sell you a far superior burger for less than 5 Guys, plus they'll basically all allow takeout (a few even deliver) to be a simple enough process since the covid bs started. Thus, there's really no excuse for driving yourself to pay premium prices for overpriced fast food trash anymore. Either legit go cheap end, opt for the good stuff that probably costs about the same (sometimes less), or just make your own food. srs.

Also, on a side note - lmao @ buying bottled water at a fast food joint. I bet you paid like $3 for that bottle of water, didn't you? I worked at a movie theater once, and of course they offered bottled water. I chit you not, they charged like $4.50 for a small bottle of Dasani. That was back pre-2010's when you could have picked up the same small Dasani at a gas station across the street from the same theater for probably $1.50, maybe even a little less depending on the day. Yet, there were still always that handful of sad saps who were happy to take their cucking for an insanely overpriced bottle of water.

I've never understood the Five Guys hype.

It's just burgers and fries. It tastes fine, but there is absolutely nothing significant about them, nor anything that sets them apart from other burger/fry joints.

Yet somehow they are like literally 3x more expensive than other burger/fry joints. Can go to a damn sit down restaurant and get a burger/fries/unlimited refill drink and tip for 18$.

in-n-out is as processed as mcdonalds, just tastes slightly better. Also portion size is small. You can't compare it to 5 guys. 5 guys is premium fast food, in-n-out is just a slightly better done mcdonalds.

I just get a drink when I bring it home

They ain't cheap but if you compare it to what you get at McDonald's etc you can see the quality is much better
