    Cutting fat and keeping mass

I've been struggling on finding a solid routine for cutting fat and still holding onto my gains. So my question is " If im lifting six days a week when is a good time to throw in cardio in my routine? Or should I even do cardio and just lower my calorie intake? Or if anyone has some good advice on cutting id like to hear it.

You want to make sure your training program is solid and predominantly compound exercises. 6 days a week may be too much when you’re in a decent calorie deficit. Protein needs to be optimal and cardio isn’t necessary unless you don’t feel like lowering your calories too much.
If you don't get what you want you didn't want it bad enough

Get .7 grams of protein per pound of body weight (assuming you're not significantly overweight) and lift with intensity. (6 days not necessary unless you're doing a bro split and need the 6 days to hit muscles 2 times a week.)

I have been hitting muscle groups two times a week. Is that not necessary? I have a feeling I may gain even more mass hitting them once a week and maybe train 4 days a week?

No. My statement was that 6 days is not necessary unless you need it to hit body parts twice a week - meaning you SHOULD hit body parts twice a week. However, there are ways to do that without needing to lift 6 days a week.

Try 3 day a week full body training while cutting. It gives you better recovery between sessions and makes those sessions more productive. You won't be gaining muscle in almost all cases anyway so why pound the sh*t out of your joints 6 days a week when there is no real benefit.

You're goal is to maintain muscle. Your training will have good intensity but less overall volume. Save the more volume oriented training that's harder on the body for when you actually have a chance at adding muscle.
