What has any black celebrity done for poor black people? Oprah, Beyonce, Kanye, etc. They gave a few students scholarships. They give plenty of donations that qualify as tax write offs.
Why don't these rich black celebrities get together and spend their millions to buy thousands of homes in Detroit and pay for 3 healthy daily meals for poor black families? Then these poor families will have everything they need to succeed and can spend their new found free time becoming engineers instead of working for food scraps all day.
Such a novel idea, I hope someone tells these liberal rich celebrities (of all colors) how they can help these poor people by just giving a bit of money from their own bank accounts.

OPs is right. A lot of black celebrities say how they came from difficult backgrounds and are very sympathetic to the plights of their community but apart from lip service, they offer very little material help to their own communities. I mean, take a look at that rapper L'il Uzi Vert implanting 24 million bucks worth of a pink diamond on his head. He could have done a lot of good if he invested that money to help his community.

"Do you think SHE actually felt like that was a sexual thing he was doing? She's like 6. Only an actual p3do would think that she thought he was groping her, too."
"Not that it's impossible to touch a minor inappropriately, but it is true that a 6 year old girl will not recognize someone putting a hand on their chest as groping, whether it is inappropriate or not."

It's easier to tap into the virtue signal goldmine and just collect money. Most are not going to push for meaningful change in poor communities beyond insignificant philanthropy.
Just think of all the most well known successful black americans. How many are just pro athletes and music artists? How many black americans do you figure follow god-tier role models like Thomas Sowell? Or listen to Denzel Washington and Morgan Freeman outside of a movie? This has been a problem in black america and is an increasing problem in the latino community - they are just exploited to perpetuate stupid music/sport culture.ωσяℓ∂ тяανєℓєя ȼяєω

Pretty sure they all give back, and just lol @ lumping in Oprah who has donated hundreds of millions of dollars to the less fortunate.
Regardless, throwing money at a problem doesn't make the problem go away. There needs to be fundamental change in this country which does not take place because some celebrities (regardless of skin color) throw some money at a "problem."Psych & handcuffs

Just another reason to the list I can't take the majority of celebrities seriously.
The only thing worse is that people still eat up their bullsh*t whenever they open their mouths, no matter how out of touch and far removed they are from the plights of the average person they make plainly evident.
Instead of laughing them off, people will just make them even richer by buying their personal snatch-scented candles.
That ties in well with what Rhadam said above in that there are deeper problems than those that can be solved with money alone.
Pop culture propels disproportionately more from bottom to the top for exposure, pushing aside the number positive role models who we can all look up to, regardless of skin color, for promoting positive attributes like intellect and ambition. LeVar Burton reached who knows how many other kids through Reading Rainbow starting at an extremely young age, and more recently we have a beacon of rationality and scientific thinking with Neil Degrasse Tyson.
People like them and your examples are who should be admired, not Cardi B or some subliterate peto with "69" tattooed across his face.I will stand firm, I refuse to kneel - The fury in me is divine
My dark grave awaits, my fate is revealed - But I'm not afraid to die

Because the issue is blacks not wanting to better themselves. And the only thing that can fix that is a change in the culture. Zuckerberg gave the Newark, NJ school district $100 million cash, that money disappeared, nothing changed. I should know since I grew up in Newark, NJ.
https://www.businessinsider.com/mark...-booker-2018-5When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

"I am like getting the feeling of cumming in the gym; I'm getting the feeling of cumming at home; I'm getting the feeling of cumming backstage; when I pump up, when I pose out in front of 5000 people I get the same feeling, so I am cumming day and night. It's terrific, right? So you know, I am in heaven."
