    PPL or Full Body?

    5'10 190lbs

    Bench: 255
    Squat: 355
    Deadlift: 375
    OHP: 160

I've noticed lately that as I'm getting closer to being an intermediate lifter I have not been able to recover as well doing Alpha Destiny's Novice Program, and lift considerably more weight when I do Push Pull Legs. Full Body 3x/week used to work really well for me but lately my body has not been responding well and I feel much better doing PPL 6x a week

Have any of you guys experienced this? Should I just stick with PPL for now?

Below is the old Full Body program I ran

    Day A:
    Squat 3x5
    Bench 3x5
    PL ROW 3X5
    Stiff Legged Deadlift 3x8
    Preacher Curls 3x12
    Tricep Overhead 3x12

    Day B:
    Squat 3x5
    OHP 3X5
    Deadlift 1x5
    Weighted Chin Ups 3x5

I think you answered your own question but want some affirmation to stick to a PPL. You might want to try a PPLrULr, whatever works for you.

There's more out there beyond the specific 3-day fb you did, and whatever specific 6-day PPL you're doing now, but if those are the only 2 choices then it sounds like that PPL works better for you. But it's not really a "which is better for me, PPL vs. full body?" Q.

Yeah you are def intermediate. Alex has an intermediate fb program. Or you could use one of his upper/lower templates. Pretty sure he hates PPL 6 days as much as I do lol.

Rather than thinking strictly in the context of full body/ppl/upper/lower you’re better off thinking about how much volume you need to progress and then fit your frequency and split to match up, so that may mean working some muscle groups multiple days in a row and adding stuff to a lower or upper body emphasized day.
