Buffalo Trace used to be $25 too until Pappy hype blew it out of that market. Now I can barely find it down here. Same thing is happening to Weller.

101 is way too hot for a manhattan IMO. Try it in a revolver, it works really good against the Tia Maria.

I get fccked up quicker on Wild Turkey 101 than Don Q Rum 151 proof....

Don Q is a higher proof and yet it takes me a hell of a lot more shots of Don Q to feel anything, whereas with Wild Turkey I can hit about 4 shots and start to feel buzzed.

Trace is definitely not a 25 dollar option anymore. Around here it’s easily $10 more than 101.

Trace is up to $40 now here in Florida and most places keep behind the counter, fukken lol. Last Blanton's I saw was $95.

A certain other rare animal themed bottle of theirs is still reliably $40 but I know it's just a matter of time.

I got a hook up at the local store and also a friend who buys several whenever he can get his hands on them, so i always have a bottle available at my house. So fawking smooth and drinkable.

trace is still sub 25 here. though i still end up going for WT 101 again and again. trace is great and all, but the turkey is a few bucks cheaper and i see no reason to pay more when turkey has everything you need as well as a higher proof

I just picked up a bottle of Maker's Mark second tier and it's pretty good as well. But ya, the American Honey is nice.

another good low key option if you like 101 is Russells Reserve 10 yr, $25/bottle here

Weller special reserve was another superb low key option until people realized it was poor mans pappy
