SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- A now removed Bay Area job posting by a tech company on LinkedIn has drawn immense criticism for requiring applicants to be "non-Asian."
Stephen Li's girlfriend was on LinkedIn earlier this month when she noticed a posting by the tech company Aptude. Upon closer inspection under "job requirements" were the words "non-Asian".
"My girlfriend found it and was so shocked and she sent it to me. I definitely wasn't going to let it go unnoticed, so I decide I would post it on LinkedIn more as an effort to increase awareness both in the professional world and to get eyes from the company itself and from LinkedIn," said Stephen via text with ABC7 News anchor Dion Lim.
Many online were critical of the post, calling it "#racist" and one user expressing outrage, "Is this even real or am I hallucinating?" Others shared the job listing on the social media platform TikTok.
Since Stephen's post about the job listing on LinkedIn, both Aptude and LinkedIn issued apologies.
Aptude's post said in part: "Upon discovery, we immediately removed the post from all channel and, launched an internal investigation." Which went on to thank those who brought the posting to their attention.
Several online users questioned what they saw as a lack of an apology.
LinkedIn posted, along with a link, to report inappropriate language and behavior this message: "We don't tolerate racism or hate of any kind. Our members expect and deserve a safe and trusted community where they can express themselves professionally."
Read Aptude's full statement below:
Please note the job posting was first brought to our attention on Tuesday, upon which we immediately took steps to remove it from all channels and to investigate how it occurred. Our investigation revealed that misunderstood communication was posted by an individual with no conceivable discriminatory intent. Aptude took steps to ensure no such posts occur in the future.
As a company with diverse leadership, we are especially sensitive to, and aggressively oppose, discrimination in any form. We deeply regret this occurrence, and we are especially saddened by the pain it caused and by the resulting misperception of our values. Aptude is, and takes great pride in being, a wholly diverse organization. The majority of our ownership, leadership, and staff consist of minorities, and all of us at Aptude are passionate about supporting diversity and the long overdue social change we are experiencing. We hope to be judged by our proven, diverse history and a place that welcomes all.

I personally donβt care what race a company prefers to hire. Itβs their business and should have the right to employ whoever they want.
Itβs basically a different version of the gay wedding cake shop. If a plays was asking for βnon whiteβ Iβd just work at anyone of the million other places that wanted to employ me.This body holding me, be my reminder here that I am not alone.
Makes me feel eternal, all this Pain is an Illusion.

This is standard in Silicon Valley - and is the predictable outcome of "diversity". Once a "diverse" community reaches a certain population threshold or has a sizable community within an organization they start to positively discriminate for their OWN PEOPLE, they form groups, communities, unions etc which are EXCLUSIVE to their group. Doesn't really matter if that group is identified by skin color, gender, political affiliation, religion etc - the outcome is always the same.
Then then next group gains a certain percentage of a foothold, and the process repeats.
What do you have now?
Tribalism.
In Silicon Valley we now have total tribalism, except the whites are totally clueless (since there are so few of them anyway) that non-whites don't hold the same cultural values as all the other groups. Meaning - whites believe in equality of opportunity, meritocracy, hiring the best person for the job etc. Well - whites didn't realize that Indians don't hold those same values, so when you get a large group of Indians they openly discriminate based upon in-group preference, they go to Indian only restaurants, associate only with Indians, hire only Indians, date only Indians, buy real estate only from Indians etc.
Indians are probably the worst out of all groups, they are extremely corrupt and they cheat / lie / steal as standard behavior since that's the culture in India - ever wondered why India is a chithole country? The British built their infrastructure, gave them railways, helped their economy, yet still.....3rd world. Why? Indians don't have low IQs, on the contrary, they have high IQs. The reason is the culture of India is one based upon fraud and bribery.
Of course the other Asian groups are similar, just not as bad - Vietnamese, Chinese, Korean are all highly represented here and all openly exercise in-group preference.
Whites need to wake up....probably too late though honestly.

Sounds accurate. My wife is in one of those tribal groups in her work (sheβs half Latina - her group calls it βLatinxβ lol), and she hates that I not only donβt support it, but abhor it.
Imagine having a white group in a workplace where they advocated for the well-being of whites only, and hid the agenda under the guise of, βWe welcome any race to our group!β **** would never happen and there would be lawsuits out the ass.

I'm soooo surprised.
I hear stories from my friends that are mixed raced, they don't belong to any race apparently. This is going to be a long, slippery slope, because I don't see the tribalism halting any time soon.
Surprisingly, my military experience brought to light how blatantly racist people can be.β β β A State of Trance Crew β β β

That is not someone one would want to see, I would think.
Of late though some disagree with that. With the Biden administration and their equity ideas, discrimination against race and skin color is allowed and supported. Many articles have been written on this issue of late, but one I read this morning ~
"Op-Ed: 1 Month in and Biden Has Essentially Canceled the 1964 Civil Rights Act"
https://www.westernjournal.com/op-ed...39_IRWjcNhFd0o
excerpt:
The Biden-Harris administration has decided the Civil Rights Act of 1964 is irrelevant and we do in fact need to discriminate on the basis of race, color and religion.
The act states, βAll persons shall be entitled to be free, at any establishment or place, from discrimination or segregation of any kind on the ground of race, color, religion, or national origin.β
It goes on to say, βNo person shall (a) withhold, deny, or attempt to withhold or deny, or deprive or attempt to deprive, any person of any right or privilege secured by section 201 or 202.β
The stated goal of Bidenβs βExecutive Order On Advancing Racial Equity and Support for Underserved Communities Through the Federal Governmentβ is βto assist agencies in assessing equity with respect to race, ethnicity, religion, income, geography, gender identity, sexual orientation, and disability.β
The order also says, βMany Federal datasets are not disaggregated by race, ethnicity, gender, disability, income, veteran status, or other key demographic variables.β The βdisaggregationβ means the datasets will be organized by the above identities, which was prohibited in the Civil Rights Act, and that organization will help determine if you can participate in these systems.
We have just stepped back in time to 1963.
Where the CRA banned denial of access to institutions, systems and the economy based on race and other identity characteristics, Bidenβs order states that these identity groups must be used to determine access to these very same systems. How is this progress?
Have we not learned that denying or advancing people on the basis of race and identity through the control of government is not only harmful to the group that is artificially advanced but harmful to the entire nation?
Past artificial setbacks should not promote present artificial advancement β for anyone. This is precisely what led to the problem in the first place.
This concept of equity that is rolled out in the executive order is relatively new and itβs just a way for the Democrats to continue their obsession with identity politics and racism.
The idea of racial equity means producing equal outcomes, as outlined by Kamala Harris in a video she released on the topic. We are to believe that no matter our own personal decisions in life, if we are in a group that happens to show a disparity, we are automatically to assume itβs discrimination.
Our decisions, worldview, mindset and work ethic are of no importance. If you fail to save money, disregard your credit score, make bad decisions with your life, are denied a mortgage loan and happen to be in a certain identity group, you are by default a victim of racism.....

Who gives a fuk.
In my area you can't get a welding job if you don't speak spanish. The listings all say "spanish preferred". Hiring only spanish speaking people discriminates people from this country. I hope it all collapses on these people so they flee back to israel and we can have our country back

Actually I think it was just a mistake and they said the quiet part out loud. The company already released a statement:
Please note the job posting was first brought to our attention on Tuesday, upon which we immediately took steps to remove it from all channels and to investigate how it occurred. Our investigation revealed that misunderstood communication was posted by an individual with no conceivable discriminatory intent. Aptude took steps to ensure no such posts occur in the future.

They are an IT consulting and Staffing company - in other words, they are in the business of racial discrimination and H1B abuse to displace Americans and drive wages down.

I've walked in and ignored the spanish speaking part before and tried to get them to give me the weld test. None of the mexicans wear PPE and all the welds look like a bird came and plopped off a pile of ****. Porosity and undercut all over etc. Its fukin rage inducing all these people "oh just go learn a trade bro" so I did and went to welding school for 2 years and got my AWS 6g smaw cert and cant even get a fukin weld test anywhere other than the ironworkers union but then they wouldn't let me weld they wanted me to drive 2 hours each way back and forth to orlando every day to build scaffolding for $13 an hour. + all the union fees and **** the whole state of FL is a joke fuk this place
Edit: I actually just walked into this shop once and there was this track torch just chilling there on with the motor running at the end of the track just being held on to the table by the hoses srs. I gtfo of that place quick because I didn't want to die. Thats how all of these places are here. And you can only work there if you speak spanish

I faintly remember my cousin telling similar stories, he's an apprentice right now in the bay area and he's Mexican American, but he clashes with the "paisanos" as we call them, mexican nationals who are almost always illegal immigrants - over the same chit.
It's fukt boyo, hopefully you could pipeline that experience into another region tho if it gets real bad.ΟΟΡββ ΡΡΞ±Ξ½ΡβΡΡ ΘΌΡΡΟ
