Short cuts to success are often paved with lies.
1/13/16: Massive hernia.
5/10/16: Finally back to lifting, light but improving.

New Safariland plate carrier for work, my old equipment is faded as hell, 50 shades of green between my shirt, vest, pants, all fading at different rates.

I haven’t tried and SSA-E but I have 2 SSAs basically and I couldn’t imagine wanting lighter for a general purpose gun. For a scoped gun I get it but I dunno, I need to try one. I have an SD3G sitting in a bag too.
I’ve had a Larue as well and prefer G. The Larue isn’t bad, especially for the price, but there’s a certain level of refinement to the G triggers.

SD3G is fun as hell to shoot, throw that bad boy in the MK18.
I actually prefer the SSP for my short barrel cause it’s a little heavier so it’s still possible to shoot groups with but single stage so can still also shoot fast with it.
Whatever the flat SSA is called is pretty sick too. SD-C I believe. It’s crisper than my LaRue and has a more positive reset. That’s where the LaRue is kind of lacking, the G will kind of push your finger forward. Not sure if I’m describing that right but I’m not a precision shooter trigger expert or anything it just feels nicer.Browns/Indians/Cavs/Buckeyes

I know all the fudds like to lick some Geissele butthole at all times, all the time, 24/7/365, but believe it or not there are other triggers. I have had over a dozen Geisseles and have talked personally with Bill's wife Amy Lynn Geissele on a few occasions. There are better triggers than those old-school Geisseles. That drop in and everything fits and works rather than having to deal with all the play and walk with pins. My Chip McCormick CMC 3.5 single stages are probably the best I have. Also Elftmann makes a ridiculously smooth and crisp trigger with ball bearings, piano wire, etc. And then there's Timney.
And the Fostech Echo is a lot of fun too.
Geissele needs to get with the times. So much loose play with those springs, detents, pins, etc.Last edited by DualRectifier; 05-13-2021 at 07:26 AM.

Sounds like your lower is out of spec.
Never had a problem with loose springs or trigger pins walking.
I make sure to mag dump my d-60 a couple times after I install something new to make sure it will hold up.Browns/Indians/Cavs/Buckeyes

You goofed something if you have pins walking.

Or the trigger pin holes aren’t in spec on the lower.
School of the American Rifle (SOTAR) has some really interesting YouTube videos where he gauges a bunch of different lowers. You’d be surprised how many aren’t in spec and can still work but also cause little strange problems.

M4E1 lower with an M B T - 2S using supplied pins was a very snug fit into the holes.

It's more the loose play than walking pins. I have KNS pins in most of my other ARs anyway. Just a matter of choice, I prefer the drop-in CMCs, Elftmanns, Timneys etc. over the Geissele Super Tricon, G2S, SSA-Es, etc. that I have. Just saying Geisseles might be a bit overrated at this point, and a bit out of date technologically.
I've "built" (assembled) dozens of ARS but what do I know

I'm with team LaRue for triggers.
Don't think I'll ever buy G triggers as long as larue is around.
Prices are obviously marked way up for what it is after what they tried to do with D&H mags.RN/Healthcare Crew - FGC Crew
