fwiw do have the wen 2350
haven't HAD to use it, but when doing to DD it asks for in the manual, was easy start up , more quiet than a lawn mower
picked it up for 419.99 + tax, shipping was free from their website. Was cheaper there than it was on amazon
still listed 419.99 on their website. The dipstick for checking oil does not come with it, annoyingly, but the dipstick that is "viewed by others or commonly purchased by others who also bought this item" that says is compatible with WEN, Yamaha, Predator, is compatible with the 2350 model.
May also be compatible with your predator if you already have one.

Back to the light topic. I decided to finish out my budget light setup earlier this week while I decide on something more fancy for long term. Hopefully get everything delivered by Saturday (Fuk you USPS) and can post pics.
Streamlight Protac HL-X Rail Mount (already have, but $110)
Arisaka M-LOK offset mount ($45 wtf)
Cloud Defensive LCS MKII ($69)You can make excuses, or you can make progress. Your choice.

Short cuts to success are often paved with lies.
1/13/16: Massive hernia.
5/10/16: Finally back to lifting, light but improving.

I have yet to crank up the Champion generator I bought a couple years ago, from Costco I believe. Still in the box. Heading down to Florida this afternoon to buy a house, I'll get it set up in the garage...damn I can't wait to have a garage again. It's been sitting in storage units since I bought it.
Edit: obviously I won't run it in the garage, I just have a wheelset, pull handle, cover, extra cables, Seafoam/Stabil, gas cans, etc. I need to get together to set it up.Last edited by DualRectifier; 03-03-2021 at 09:46 AM.

Reddit is more communist leaning than the communist news network
Definitely test it.
The last new generator I bought, would not work out of the box...the spark plug boot was broken during shipping. Couldn't even tell until troubleshooting to see why it wouldn't fire up, went to check for spark and...yeah that's a problem.
Gotta make sure new stuff isn't bricked from the get go

I recently bought a Toolcraft chrome BCG and upon inspection I found some seemingly minor imperfections. I’m just not sure if it’s something that I should be concerned about, looking for some help please. I’ll likely butcher the terminology so it might be hard to explain, I’m pretty new to this...
On the underside, the “rails” (?) on which the BCG slides are kinda roughed up. It’s not terrible but it’s noticeable, and different than how my other BCGs look. If I run my finger across the area it’s definitely not perfectly smooth like my Aero BCGs are.
Is this something that I should be concerned about? I’m struggling to get a decent picture but I’ll try again tonight.

This ammo shortage is getting stupid. For a long time I couldn't find any 5.56 but birdshot was everywhere. Got into shooting clays. Now I haven't seen birdshot in weeks but I know like three places to buy 5.56. Also suddenly buckshot is everywhere but .40 has vanished for the first time.

I'd be pretty pissed about that. I know a generator is one of those things that you know 100% you can rely on, a bad plug boot could send me through the fukking roof.
I know i need to test it, just haven't had a chance moving across the country three times in two yearsLast edited by DualRectifier; 03-03-2021 at 04:19 PM.

Shipping damage happens, nothing anybody can really do about that. I mean, since we're being cheap, these WEN/Champion/Predator/etc are made in Chyna so there's a lot of shipping in between.
You can't 100% rely on something you've never tested is the lesson there IMO
They are more of a pain to move after they've been used (gasoline), because, well, gasoline. Gotta siphon out the tank or run it till it's totally empty or have another thing with gas in it to deal with
