New Jersey Democrats Sen. Bob Menendez and Rep. Bonnie Watson Coleman on Thursday introduced legislation to ban gun silencers.

The 2021 Help Empower Americans to Respond (HEAR) Act, which Menendez first introduced in 2019 after the Virginia Beach mass shooting that killed 12 people, bans the sale, manufacturing, importation, transfer and possession of gun silencers.

"Gun silencers are dangerous devices with one purpose and one purpose only – to muffle the sound of gunfire from unsuspecting victims," Menendez said in a Thursday statement. "The sound of gunshots is what signals you to run, hide, take cover, call the police and help others save themselves; however, this is nearly impossible when a gun silencer is used."

Watson Coleman called silencers "tools of murder" in a Thursday statement.

"They have no legal application, which is why law enforcement officials around the country have been calling for their elimination," she said, adding that the HEAR Act "will save lives and is part of the common-sense approach to firearms legislation that polls show has widespread support among voters on both sides of the aisle."

The HEAR Act would also authorize a silencer buyback program, give Americans a 90-day grace period after the legislation is enacted to comply and provide limited exceptions for law enforcement and Atomic Energy personnel.

I don't see a gun when stopping frame by frame. But the cop didn't have the benefit of a freeze-frame video analysis. He was sprinting down an alley at night in a chit-hole neighborhood. The deceased's right hand was obsured when he abruptly stopped fleeing and suddenly turned. The deceased's final motions were identical in appearance to a cornered suspect who was drawing a gun and turning to shoot the cop.

    Identical.

    Not guilty.

lol, you say that as if it will mean anything to the peaceful protesters.

But...he kinda looked like he had 2 empty hands up when he got shot. So, that's not gonna look good.

Also, the shadows from around 6:20-7:20 look like he's getting dome from the female officer.

    IDK man.

That Holoson 507C was $280 and it comes with a pic rail mount (low height, not AR applicable, but still), and you can pick dot or circle + dot or circle (you eotech shill should love the circle-dot) and like 5 times the battery life dot only vs the RMR, and solar panels for power too, and manual or automatic mode...

To get some of those features (but not all) in an RMR would be $520 or more. vs $280 and you get more.

Oh, and not only is the battery like 5x longer (dot only) on the Holosun, and about the same circle + dot as RMR dot only, but you can change the battery on the Holosun without removing it from the damn mount like the RMR

    Yes.

It's required gear for positional shooting.

Midway USA's mat is the standard for most people. Midway is the place to go for range bags and shooting mats.

Another police shooting video but focus more on the malfunction the officer has at 8:28. Handgun looks to be a M&P 2.0. Had the guy with the handgun in his pocket rolled over and took a shot it would've been game over for the officer

Why did you pay so much for it? Can pretty regularly be had for $250 or less.
