I am interested in the Ruger Precision Rifle, thing is beautiful. Problem is, I'm just not that into long range, so it would be a waste of money and safe space. Glad I went cheap with my Savage 110 in 6.5 CM to see how into range shooting I am. Worth it for the $500 and it's fun to shoot from time to time, but that's likely the limit on what I'd spend for it.
The Ruger is around the $2k+ range, than another $1k+ for a good optic, so not something I'm too hard up to go for now.

A lot of holes in the desert, and a lot of problems are buried in those holes. But you gotta do it right. I mean, you gotta have the hole already dug before you show up with a package in the trunk. Otherwise, you're talking about a half-hour to forty-five minutes worth of digging. And who knows who's gonna come along in that time? Pretty soon, you gotta dig a few more holes. You could be there all f***in' night.

Took the glock 30 out today and played with 2 sig 320’s. One had the romeo optic. Really nice shooting pistols. Ordered a 226 legion last week too. Can’t wait to play with that thing. Almost too pretty to shoot.

It's a mil contract rifle. Mil contract rifles are pricy. The end.
Generally, .338 LM rifles have a longer action and will be built in such a way as to mitigate recoil while being accurate. Typically that's going to be a chassis gun. Chassis guns are expensive, and you're an idiot.Florida Crew as of 3/21

Kind of jelly of fellers who have access to a range to utilize that kind of cartridge. Longest range around me only goes out to 300 yards.
Long range shooting seems like a good way to sink 20-30k to get started lol.Browns/Indians/Cavs/Buckeyes

Google maps says I can do about a 2000 ft shot on my dad's farm. I don't really have any optics for that distance tho

Here in Arkansas we have gotten snow and those really cold temps. Was -19 actual last night. Real feel was -30 something.
It’s funny how people are freaking out though. I mean people are losing power but otherwise it’s not a big deal. Businesses are closing down saying the roads are unsafe. Like what? For half the country this is just a normal February.

Half the country doesn't have -19 air temps as normal any time of year. You're talking, like, the North Dakota, Montana, upper Minnesota like Duluth area to get that temp even once in a year, usually. Put it this way, I grew up 10 miles from Lake Michigan, and never once in 25 years did it get that cold. Not once. Not even within 10 degrees of that temp
And roads can be far more dangerous when it's warm and then gets cold, than when it's cold all winter. All winter cold means everything is pretty much frozen all the time. Warm then cold, you can get wicked nasty slick ice on the roads as the liquid water freezes over.
It's also fair for people to freak out if they lose power when it's -19*. People are sheep who don't prepare to handle so much as a couple days without power on their own. No generator or kerosene heater or whatever, power out, -19* air temp...that's a serious issue

It's cold for half the year here and -19 is fukin cold.

I remember in Madison, WI and upstate NY going through long periods of time well below freezing and not seeing grass for months at a time. They were way better prepared to clean the roads but still.
