northern coldcel here. ex-gf always complained about the cold and of wanting to move to florida. unfortunately my fam's got a business here in the snowy cold, so the future prospects of our relationship dwindled, and I dumped her. she lives in tampa now and afaik is quite happy, has a job at a credit union, is married, etc.
I add the afaik is happy part not because I care (long time ago) but because another girl from my hometown moved to SoCal, San Diego/Carlsbad area. when she and I attempted to reconnect after she had lived there for a few years, and I saw her when she was home visiting parents, it turned out she had become addicted to pepsi and kept many litres of it in her fridge. the rest of our interaction was her trying to monkey branch to me to escape her bad choices in SoCal.
of course, so much depends on the person. but, between a gal who went to Tampa and a gal who went to SoCal, the gal in Tampa is doing better.

I live in Boca. While there are tons of retirement 55+ communities (really throughout Palm Beach County- Delray and Boynton probably have more than Boca), there are still tons of young neighborhoods around. I think it's actually getting younger. In the last three months both next door houses sold, one side a 40s couple with two little kids moved in and the other side a ln engaged couple in their late 20s moves in. My street is swarming with little kids. But I live a little further west. Boca is nice because while it's suburban it still has a really nice little downtown area closer to the beach. Delray has an even better downtown area on Atlantic Avenue...the entire road consists of outdoor restaurants and bars for a good mile extending from the beach. I've never been here not married so I have no idea what the single/party life is like.
I like Boca, and if you found something closer to the beach it could be fun, but for a young single guy I'd actually lean more towards Deerfield Beach. It's a bit trashier but it seems younger and seems the nightlife is better. Deerfield borders Boca to the south while Delray borders Boca to the north so they are both a quick commute. Delray is an older crowd than Deerfield. If you're willing to commute then I'd choose Fort Lauderdale as that's where I hear the real fun is. At rush hour Fort Lauderdale could be a solid hour from Boca though.
PM me if you want more info on the area.Never neg first but always neg back crew

Lol West Coast seems so much chiller than "South Florida" From West Palm to Miami is a cluster fuxk of ghetto and old miserable rich people. One continuous urban/suburban sprawl. I like the boating scene in Tampa. Get a boat OP
