Pretty excited to see if they bring out a model that competes with the Ram TRX.

Two things in life right now that I'm aiming for: Getting big and very lean, and the other is making lots of money so I can shove it in peoples faces that didn't give me the time.

Interesting release. I actually dont think it tanks the Gen 2 values much at all. Not until the Raptor R comes out next year anyhow.
The Good:
New coil link rear suspension
New interior
37" tires available (with new shocks)
Selectable exhaust note (silent, normal, sport, baja)
New High Output EcoBoost 3.5L
Raptor R next year
The Not So Good:
No Hybrid PowerBoost option
No power specs for new 3.5L high output motor
No info at all on Raptor R
Blue leather interior
To be honest, I hope it tanks the Gen 2 market. Would love to jump into a 2018 or newer with the Fox Live shocks, throw in an aftermarket tablet style head unit with wireless Carplay, tune it, and save a bunch of money over a 3rd gen.

C6 Z06 is the ideal weekend toy, I think they will keep their value well due to the legendary LS7
I can see a lot of Gen 2 owners trading up for the Gen 3 as the two trucks are so similar (3.5L Ecoboost, off road shocks, 35" tires, nice interior/technology) whereas the Gen 1 has an entirely different appeal and market it caters to (mostly due to the V8), so people generally won't be selling their Gen 1 trucks for a Gen 3 (those people already traded up for a Gen 2, and they'll be doing the same with the Gen 3).
The Gen 2 raptor is a truck people today buy generally because its flashy and has all the bells and whistles and creature comforts of a new truck - not because they want to off road it or hoon it (if you go on the facebook pages for Gen 1 and Gen 2 owners, you'll see this difference). There isn't anything that makes the Gen 2 collectible or well-liked among enthusiasts other than the fact that it is a nice ass truck... but the Gen 3 is basically the same truck, but nicer. I just don't see the V6 Gen 2 holding onto its value the same way the Gen 1 has... I personally think the Gen 2 will go down in value over the next year or two as people trade up and there will be a good buying opportunity if you want a nice Gen 2.Last edited by SouthDakotaBrah; 02-03-2021 at 10:39 AM.

I'm disappointed that they didn't announce a V8, but I guess that's for next year.
The new Raptor looks exactly how I though it be which is good.
My Ford rep put me on the list so when ordering banks open I'm one of the first to place my order at the dealer.†Italian Crew†

Yeah, next year will be the official Raptor R reveal with the supercharged V8. I'm surprised it wasn't this year. I really think Ford engineers chit themselves when the RAM TRX was released, but they had been working on the third gen Raptor for so long that there was no going back... otherwise I think they would have worked harder to have a V8 at launch

Am I the only one who thinks the current generation looks better and more aggressive?
They've boxed the entire front end, the headlights and grill combined is one big rectangle devoid of character. The current one you can see the extension of the wider fender flares bulge out where it meets the outer edge of the headlights, making it look more special.

I think the idea is pretty bad ass...
But at the that price point you could EASILY purchase a 4x4 F-150
-Fuel System
-Bolt on a 3.0L Whipple
-install Long Travel pre runner kit
And you will still be WAY under the price of a Hennessey Raptor.. Not to mention he is a fkn dick head IRL that charges way to much money to bolting on BS off the shelf parts.6'2" @ 247lbs
