I also learned I get mad FOMO watching gain porn, so I hopped on a lot of trades that lost. my top recent one is buying APHA at $29/share, selling covered calls on it, and then watching it tank down to $18/share the next day. Bought all my calls back and sold at a total loss of $30k.

fun times.

Lmao yeah. My rule which has made be quite a sad fella more often than not lately is if someone/people are already giddy about their gains it is already too late to buy and join them.

what kind of portfolio value do you need to be generating $3k/week in covered calls?

edit: have 700 shares of PLTR that generate $150 weekly.. with a $30 cost basis. $21,000.

So for $3k/week.. if we're doing some really sketchy math assuming same premiums as PLTR, somewhere around $400-500k?

$90k individual, $50k roth right now

300 shares of ARKW, 300 shares of CRSR, 200 shares of ARKF, 100 shares of AAPL, 100 shares of MSFT

ARKW/CRSR are monthlies, ARKF, APPL, MSFT are weeklies. I averaged my per week premiums based on what I got over the duration of February

two weeks ago I could buy 100 shares of CRSR for $4500 then sell a 15DTE 50C for $400 in premium (~10% ish)

$3k is definitely on the high end, probably closer to $1.5k/week sustainably

looking at your example, with 700 shares of PLTR you should be getting $300 - $1500 weekly depending on IV and strike

also speaking of PLTR, I saw some dude on WSB buy 3000 shares for $90k and then immediately sell 30Cs for 2022 for like $31k. interesting theory but I'm pretty sure those will be deep ITM really easily

Smart man. Theta gang always feasts. I kinda had forgotten my roots as I went 100% spac, but I am going back towards that direction as SPAC companies get more and more watered down.

Combine the two. I am getting sick premiums on Spacs. They are the absolute best stocks to sell puts on right now

my only concern would be FOMO'ing if PLTR is $60/share+ in 2022.

he's selling ATM calls, so premiums are all he has. if the stock goes how I (and lots of people) think it will, he's trading $30k in profit today for potentially $90k in profit long ish term

yeh i understand the situation, personally I wouldn't do it, but it might be a viable strategy for some boomer who is happy with those returns

amc and gme seem to gave a pop every morning - at the end of the day gme is not worth $40-50 and sooner rather than later people is going to end up holding a bag

amc has long term potential tho - if you buy at low 5 then you may end up doubling that down the road

the case for a short squeeze or TSLA style burn is stronger than it has ever been

there are several big events that could catalyst GME up to 300+ again

I think today is just FOMO for people that didn't buy Friday when DFV did, but who knows.

If GME stock jumps 30% in a day, I will buy in with 50% of my portfolio and see what happens

Yeah... no.

Basic statistics demonstrates this wouldn’t even be maintainable in the medium term. The slippage between rotations would be a mess, and slippage would be highest when the conditions for calls being exercised would be most likely as well.

Their former SPAC (DMTK) molecular dermatology ran from $6.50 to $80.

AHAC is a perfect candidate for ARKG

edit FUARK my FRX(Beach Body is raging). I did a covered strangle, 1000 shares at $11.39, 10x 3/19 15p for $2700, 10x 3/19 20cc for $2000. Will be close to $14,000 if it breaks $20

not for CCIV ive been on the stocktwits since 3000 followers, first thread on reddit/spac to get its own dedicated post, attention everywhere. CCIV is going to explode when its announced. It will hit $120 at least, which will make me sick since I originally had 4440 shares at $12.50 and am down to 1000(have sold for a little above $100k in profits)


IF VTIQ NKLA and QS ran hit those levels so can this. I dont even believe in the company, EV are POS IMO and high end EV is a retarded idea. Barely anyone is going to pay $160k for an EV
