I'm just sad people are so deep into yoloing that they are taking their childrens college funds and dumping them there because "i'll sell off before everyone else" and end up selling at a 10x loss. People putting numbers like 400 000 into gme on reddit.

Also I think Melville is literally sitting in a meeting room 24/7 trying to figure out strategies how they can get out of this. They're not even worried anymore about how high it goes. Government steps in and refunds everyone? Call bankruptcy and set up a new one? What are their options to get out of this mess with small losses. Don't know what happened to VW in 2008, did the funds have to cough up the coin?

I'm only 40 in AMC just for lulz. If it goes up, lovely. If down, don't really care.

I don’t see how they get out of those contracts without losing everything besides manipulating the market. Technically they already pulled strings with robinhood but I imagine there’s other more extreme measures they could take. I think a lot of big time investors are fukked.

Yup. The people who got in early will be fine, but plenty of retards have jumped in at the highs. At the end of the day, this is about making money. No one's going to give a chit if you lose it all trying to become a "martyr."

I don't really know where GME will go from here, but it's 100% guaranteed that many of these fools will never get out.

I'm not so sure about the guaranteed long term play part. It was barely worth what it's at now the few years pre-pandemic when movie-going was pretty popular. Now you have all the streaming service popularity and people who won't really ever go back to going to a theater. After this Reddit shenanigans dies out, I'm not all that confident there's a story there.

Guess we'll see. But I just think AMC is in for a continued rough go after all this recent attention dies down. And it's inevitable.
