Source: https://dailycaller.com/2021/01/26/c...-middle-class/President Joe Biden’s Commerce Secretary nominee Gina Raimondo said Tuesday that while she understands the impact of raising taxes on the middle class, they “need funds” to pay for Biden’s climate plan.
Florida Senator Rick Scott asked Raimondo how they plan to pay for the Biden administration’s transportation climate initiative.
“The document I signed – by the way it was bipartisan, Republican and Democratic governors – was an intention to work together with our legislators to develop a transportation climate initiative, so it’s very early in that process,” Raimondo responded.
Scott noted that Transportation Secretary nominee Pete Buttigieg said that he was open to raising the gas tax, which would “impact the poorest families in our country significantly.”
“What is your opinion on that and how would that impact your ability to do your job as Secretary of Commerce?” Scott asked.
“I would defer to Congress to make that decision,” Raimondo said. “Let me say this. I, as governor, am deeply in touch with how much increasing bills affect the average American family. Having said that, we do need to meet the climate change challenge and we need funds for improved infrastructure – better roads, safer roads, safer bridges – which also creates jobs.”
“So I would look to balance those interests and work as a piece of the president’s team,” she added.
Biden’s $2 trillion climate plan promises “far-reaching investments” in things like infrastructure, housing, clean energy innovation, and environmental justice.

They were talking about 400K+ a year just a few weeks ago now they are down to 100K. Next step will be 60K+. Also, if you think these taxes on anyone won't effect those in that 30K line you have to be ignorant or just brainwashed. Even if it doesn't show up on your taxes it will show up other places.

This is an absolutely retarded logic.
Pew numbers for reference.
Income data released by the U.S. Census Bureau shows that 2017 median household income was the highest on record at $61,372.5
Pew defines the middle class as those earning between two-thirds and double the median household income. This Pew classification means that the category of middle-income is made up of people making somewhere between $40,500 and $122,000.
Those making less than $39,500 make up the lower-income bracket, while those making more than $118,000 make up the upper-income bracket. Easy, right? Just take your household income and see where you fit, given these numbers.*PUREBLOOD CREW*

First of all, 100k is absolutely middle class. I make more and am middle class.
Second, everyone knew this was coming. Tax hikes for everyone to pay for all Joe’s shady deals with these foreign countries that get funneled back through Hunter. I mean we have the phuckin emails, people involved, dates, locations, everything and y’all still voted for him.
Third, everyone is getting tax increases. Biden is cutting Trump’s tax cuts which means everyone will be paying more this year. WTF did you retards that voted for him think was going to happen?
