While I agree with the sentiment, I think it’s a bad idea for someone trying to change their style up to buy things that will leave them feeling that way. Good way to waste money on stuff you’ll wear once before going back to what’s comfortable for you.
As far as over-dressing for a given event, I have no prob with that, always better to be overdressed than underThe double. Body armour. Two quick ones. I already know I’m getting there on the perfect line.

OP a blazer is 100% about fit and every blazer needs to be tailored. If you buy it, find a tailor to get your sleeve length adjusted and probably a taper to the body/sleeves if needed. Also make sure the fit is correct on the shoulders. if it doesnt fit on the shoulders not worth even looking at it.
