Say what you want about the interceptions, the talent, etc.
Anyone who knows NFL KNOWS that if #4 has the ball like that with the game on the line, he's not afraid to take a hit and he is diving for the goal line. There could be a brick wall between him and the goal line and Favre would go for it.
Fuk being "the most talented QB ever"
Absolutely no heart with the season on the line.

Favre gets the nod for me for basically the same reason you mentioned. Favre was a fierce competitor. He could go out there and throw 5 interceptions but he'll go right back to the huddle and keep trying to win. Rodgers is a superior talent, but you can see his passion is no where near the level of Favre's.
No one can question his heart and toughness after that playoff game to the Saints.
#4 was always one of my favorite players to play the game.
EDIT:" above ^^ that's a cope excuse IMO. They needed to score. He had an open lane to make a positive gain, and possibly even score. Instead he threw a dangerous pass into double coverage.6'1 - 240lbs

Lmao.. as someone who watched nearly every Packer game since 1995 against the Dallas Cowboys in the NFC Championship game
Farve is the QB you just love to watch play the game. It's a roller coaster of emotions filled with "Oh my god wtf..." to "Oh my God YES!!"
Rodgers is by far, without question, no denying it, a better QB than Brett Farve. #4 threw us out of games just as often as he won us games. After Mike Holmgren wasn't around anymore to reign him in and he was basically given the keys to the franchise we STRUGGLED for years never reaching the success that we should have. I'll always have a soft spot in my heart for Farve cause it was so fun watching him play, but playing one football game who do I behind center? Rodgers 10000%
Also this. Rodgers gets caught by JPP or Devin White at the 4 yard line, but he also stated he would have called a different play if he knew he was only gonna get one shot at it.

At the end of the day here is how I see it.
Rodgers has had better teams, better weapons, and more opportunities to make it to a Superbowl then Favre. But they still have the same amount of rings. I'll take the guy with heart over Mr. Talent who disappears when I need him.
1-5 in NFC championship games and Packers fans cope saying, " oh well the NFC games against the Falcons and 49ers don't count, we weren't supposed to be there anyways derrr". What about in 2011 losing to the Giants in the divisional after going 15-1? What's the excuse then?
Do you think Eli was supposed to win those Superbowls? No, but he fukin did it. And Rodgers was supposed to win this game, was gifted 3 picks against BRADY and still didn't win.

False. Favre had multiple years of having the best defense in the NFL with arguable the best player in the NFL along with some of the best coaches (go look at the Holmgren coaching tree... Gruden, Andy Reid, Steve Mariucci) along with great weapons on a consistent basis. The issue came when Farve started getting to heavy of a voice post Ron Wolf and Mike Sherman and his awful drafts. Even then we still had a lil success but not the same level.
Farve struggled in the mid 00's for this reason. Losing to Vick at Lambeau, losing on the 4th and 26 play (I still can't believe that) which later Farve just threw up an easy INT to lose the game, Farve the INT in the NFC Championship game against the Giants in OT to lose.... Hell Farve with the Vikings throwing an INT against the Saints in the NFC Championship game to lose. Who can forget the Farve 6 INT game against the Rams in the playoffs

I watched all those games live, you dont gotta show me. It's a wash between them.
What's Rodger's excuses? He won the mickey mouse NFC champ game against Caleb Hanie and the bears where he played like dog chit and got carried. 2 picks against the Seahawks and they STILL shoulda won. Carry job by his team.
It's not like he goes off in these games and his team lets him down.

I believe in Packer playoff losses under Rodgers the defense has given up an AVERAGE of 36 points. You're not winning games giving up that much. These games under Farve were tight 17-17 type ball games before Farve threw the game away. They are so far away from each other in terms of comparison
This isn't a bash Farve post, this is a post to remind people what Farve was. An all time great who was amazing to watch.... who broke your heart just as often by throwing a late game INT

I'd be curious to know Brady vs. Rodgers playoff stats, keeping in mind Rodgers has consistently played superior defenses on the road in the playoffs (giants, niners, seahawks, bears, etc.). Then tally up the number of points given up by their respective defenses.
I'd be willing to bet Rodgers scores more points on average, and Rodgers defenses gives up like 10 points more on average. The packers have had some historically terrible defenses with Rodgers at QB.

I’m not the one saying they should, it’s packers copers who say that. Making every excuse for Rodgers.
Rodgers doesn’t make the plays he needs to make when he is asked to make them. If he did, he’d have more rings and SB appearances. His stats are mediocre to bad in NFC champ games anways, especially if you look up first halves.
Should change the name to Green Bay Copers cause that’s all they do after every playoff . At least with Brett Favre you knew he’d take the blame unlike Rodgers.
Packers fans whining they shoulda drafted WR2, well who gives a fuk bc even if your wide open in the EZ (Lazard) at lambeau field to go to the super bowl, Rodgers will fuk it up and throw to Adams who is double coveredLast edited by DBoyDaRealest; 01-25-2021 at 02:02 PM.

Yeah let me ignore adding a key piece at a positional need and draft an unknown prospect instead of going all in for a SB run before our franchise QBs window closes or he decides to leave on his own. Plan for the future.. gotcha
Notice how TB went all in on making the pieces work for Brady, and GB sat on their azz in the draft and free agency? Who’s playing for a title now?
