A niche show with a small audience like WWE should consider themselves lucky to be a (tiny) part of the peacock network.
There are only just so many self-loathing masochists who love chitty women's wrestling dominating every show, historic all-time worst announcing, awful scripted cringe promos, laughably idiotic storylines and the complete lack of actual stars. All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.

Vince is a sociopath, he probably uses his mental manipulation on these execs and points to the stock and other mark contracts the other companies paid
It's obvious that he doesn't show them the product itself.
Also
WWE is cheap content. They produce 6 hours of live TV plus all their online content. For networks that's a win.Trump 2024

Has this sub turned into Reddit now? It's all "hot takes" and "drive-by comments", indicating that no one actually read the article or is aware of the actual news.
1) WWE Network will continue to operate in every other country. Peacock is the exclusive stream for WWE content only in the United States for a five-year period.
2) Vince was making AT MOST $135mil a year in monthly fees from usa subscribers. The peacock deal translates to guaranteed AT LEAST $200mil a year for his company.
3) Peacock is probably having trouble building up a subscriber base, as the majority of its content is reruns of shows that no longer air. They probably came to Vince with this idea.
4) And of course, this helps stem the atrophy of viewers during the covid era, as now we're getting the same content (plus nbc crap) for $4.99 a month instead of $9.99
This was one of those unique situations in which EVERYONE wins. WWE, NBC and the customers. Vinnny Mac just carnied a way to make an extra ~$100mil a year during the pandemic.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

these money grabs will ultimately be what kills wwe.
vince no longer has incentive to build up his library. he lost incentive to put out a quality television product years ago. he's old and he's gonna reap the benefits to the grave but i think his kids and triple h are gonna have some major issues in 10-15 years....if the company isnt sold by then. i can totally see vince selling in the next 5 years.
edit- i'll go so far as to say this.
in 10 years- MJF, Darby Allin and Jungle boy will be bigger mainstream stars than anyone in wwe.

The WWE network isn’t available in every country and the other countries it is available in don’t constitute a huge subscriber base for them. It’s going away in the US and most of the people here are from the US which is why I titled it this way.
And this will do nothing to stem the declining viewership since the product being terrible is causing that, not the price point of the WWE network.
This is a phenomenal business deal for the WWE but doesn’t deal with the core issue with WWE which is that they’re putting out a WCW circa 2000 level product. It also gives them no incentive to actually do better since they get paid the same regardless of how bad it is.Of all tyrannies a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. -C.S. Strong most of this . Fortunately the booking will improve if triple h gets 100% creative control of raw and smackdown live.
Kevin Nash, Oklahoma, Vince Russo, Eric bischoff, Hogan (although he had less pull when Russo took over we all saw).
None of them can attain triples brilliance, and creativity or be the hardest working man in the business.
I think triple h can be the next dusty Rhodes.
I think if he got into politics too he could be a great president. I’m serious.BLM (Brock Lesnar Matters)
