Question Missing key in adjustable bench press arms, using bolt instead?

So I bought i used benchpress with adjustable arms but it was missing the keys that go in to keep the arms in position and I just bought two stainless steel bolts that fit it perfectly and I wanted to ask around and get a general idea from experienced Individuals as to whether or not this sounds safe

The main concern would be with the bolts coming loose. I would consider a hitch pin or Clevis pin (farm supply or hardware store, eg Tractor Supply, Lowe's, etc.).
