90 minutes / 5 kilometers walk everyday negatively impacts muscle building?

I know it sounds dumb, but I just wondered.

My gym is 2,5 km away and I prefer walking to the gym and home to burn slightly more calories, since I dont do any other form of cardio.

Now, if I make sure I'm eating in a surplus (pretty small, 150-200 cals) and I gain weight little by little constantly, is the walking gonna negatively impact my muscle building?

    Nope. No chance.

I do that to the gym every day.

    Will probably help if anything.

In fact I do. There's not a lot to study for my college and I have only online classes anyway, so I stay at home with my family.

Gotta find a job to kill some of my spare time lol.

The only way it'd affect your muscle building is if you're the least bit tired by the time you get to the gym and it impacts what you can lift. Which if you walk at a casual pace it shouldn't.

It doesnt tire me out at all. If anything it warms my legs a little on my leg day, which is nice.

At a pace of approximately 30 minutes a mile, I wouldn't expect it to even raise your heartbeat more than a few beats a minute - unless you have other overriding factors. ;-)
