OG Kong vs Godzilla was just 1 on 1. But in the original MechaGodzilla movie, Godzilla teams up with King Ceasar, so you're pretty close. I think they're merging the two movies.

If I recall right - the old 1970s Kong vs Godzilla movie had separate footage and a different ending for Western and Japanese audiences. Wonder if they're doing the same - ie, does the Japanese language trailer make Godzilla look like the protagonist?

Kong obviously has the bigger brain based on sheer size & should therefore be smarter than godzilla in a fight. I'm excited to see how Kong creates the dorsal spike axe & what kind of damage it does to godzilla. Big fan of both these titans, but unless it goes to the water, I gotta go Team Kong.

I'll have to find the International Trailer. The clips would probably favor Gojira more.

I wanna say there will be a clear winner, but I can already predict what will happen. They'll duke it out for the first half of the movie, both getting in good hits, and it will end in a stale mate when they realize there is a threat bigger than the both of them and they will team up to take down, most likely, mecha Ghidorah.

Also, for people saying they don't like going to movie theaters....THIS is the movie you go to the theaters for. You watch this chit with premium surround sound in IMAX that booms so loud it shakes the seat your sitting in. Not some chitty little 60'' tv at home.

Unfortunately, a human story is necessary to give background and context to why the monsters are fighting. Hopefully it's a good human story.

I think Godzilla(2014) started off great with Bryan Cranston wanting to investigate then the movie all of a sudden dropped his character. His character was the most interesting part of the movie. I was expecting this big conspiracy investigation story but instead it went to "follow his son go from point A to point B"

There's something about costumes, models and practical effects that look "real" doesn't give that fake effect to it.

As Chris Nolan( Inception, The Dark Knight Trilogy) says "It's all still animation so it takes you out of the picture. The human brain can still tell a difference which is why I stick to in camera effects as much as possible"

they nerfed him. godzilla is like 300ft+ tall in this universe and Kong is more like 100-150ft tall. they fuked with the sizes to make it an even fight
