Ever wondered why Kane isn't ever mentioned or considered when people list Attitude era GOATs?
It comes down to his attitude/personality being limited by his mask and the fact he was meant to have a speech impediment.
Yes smarks, I know he made some baby steps to over-come the speech impediment gimmick but with little success.

Reasons Why Kane Is NOT An Attitude Era Great
"The greatest feeling you can get in a gym, or the most satisfying feeling you can get in the gym is... The Pump. Let's say you train your biceps. Blood is rushing into your muscles and that's what we call The Pump. You muscles get a really tight feeling, like your skin is going to explode any minute, and it's really tight - it's like somebody blowing air into it, into your muscle. It just blows up, and it feels really different. It feels fantastic.
It's as satisfying to me as, uh..."

Kane was an absolute badazz back then, one of the most deraded, beat the sheet out of guys like Austin, Undertaker and Rock. WTF are you talking about? Just because he was a hunter and not the hunted (just won the WWFC one, and that too after UT's interferance in the first blood match with Austin), doesnt make him less significant. He was a badazz monster back then until his unmasking in w003 after which he became significantly weaker. Title wins in scripted sport is useless, Kane drew ratings, Kane beat down the top dogs of the time, he was true to his gimmick, and the masked Kane 1997-2003 will remain an iconic fearsome character that everyone dreaded to face, damn the 2001 royal rumble should be a proof enough, maybe the record is broken now but that was the highlight of what's Kane's deadliest presence at that time meant!

He was still second fiddle in the Brothers of Destruction. That's also one of the issues of recognizing him as one of the legends, the man won 12 tag team titles but had so many different partners that he never got recognized like the Hardy's, Dudley's etc. I mean bidencmonmangif Kane and Daniel bryan? Kane and the hurricane?
I personally think he should have been put over more than he was. Always a big crowd pop when his entrance started, but he wasn't.

This guy thinks this sh*ts real lol. Fuking entertainment, bro, and Kane entertained. He’s had a great career and isn’t a low brow hick like you. Instead he’s making sh*t work, and not showing up as a deadbeat on Kayfabe Commentaries looking like he’s in a fuking 1992 interview with a purple background and that Oliver clown. He’s out there changing the fuking world while lowlife scum like Mick Foley have CTE and are rattling off nonsense tweets while they sit at home in their Roseanne Barr sitcom attire. Lol at you.

Most ppl talking trash of Kane, most likely never seen the 2001 Royal Rumble, it was pure domination, masked Kane 1997-2003 was an absolute beast dreaded by the likes of Austin, Taker and Rock, the 2001 Royal Rumble was his pinnacle and titles/win/loss don't matter in scripted sports, kane was a monster, he beat the sheet out of everyone and was one of the most dreaded and violent stars of that time. I agree after his unmasking he got watered down tho.

"Great" is a strong term. I'd call him a staple/linchpin of the era. He had great programs with everybody. First Blood with Austin, Tag champs with X-Pac, rivalries with Mankind and the Undertaker, etc. He definitely drew some asses to the seats. I do wish he'd been booked to win a bit more, but as a kid I still considered him a ****ing monster despite only holding the WWF title for a day.
They should have never took the mask off.
