God of War is pretty good. Would like to check out Ratchet and Clank but I'm not getting a PS5 for it.
The others I don't think are very good.
I'm not sure how you can get those for free anyway, says PS Plus down the bottom. Which is $12 a month here.
When I said free I was talking about the games you don't have to pay for, like World of Tanks.Last edited by phillipsanchez; 01-24-2021 at 05:07 PM.

I stopped it a few months ago. I don't see the value in it.
You have to understand that if you have to pay a monthly fee, those games aren't free.
Am happy now just to close out my backlog of PS games and use Gamepass or buy newer games.
Sucks that the new consoles and have hardly any new games, they're trying to sell us on PS3/4 and 360/One games.

disagree with this strongly. I think it has a lot of great games. Not too mention every first party MS game in the future. As someone who didn't jump into the MS ecosystem when I bought a One S in December 2019, and now got a SX on launch, it has been great. Filled up the TB in a day. Have played a ton of good games.
Plus I have bought game pass for between $7 and $10 a month and am set for several years. So not a bad price.
And with new big games coming out at $70, it's an even better deal. I got a ps4 in 2014, and loved many of the games (2-3 are probably in my top 20 all time). But I'm also having a great time with my SX and gamepass.Last edited by ScramFranklin; 01-24-2021 at 07:01 PM.

Only a peasant would purchase less than 12 months at a time.
I pay like £12 a year lmao. Don’t even notice as it just rolls on each year.
Only thing I disagree with is that you need gold just to play online.Per Mare Per Terram crew*

I very much agree but it depends on the gamer. I like to play a select few games I really enjoy. Would definitely be a waste of money for me. But for the type of gamer who like to try something new every time they turn on their system, regardless of quality, you can't beat the value.
Perhaps you should if you could do it better?

There is value in the ability to try hundreds of games, now that demos are a thing of the past.
You can easily download a game that you might think seems slightly interesting and end up loving it or hating it.
Very grateful I got to try games like Need For Speed, NHL, No Mans Sky. Because I would have regretted paying money for them.
On The other side, I would have paid full price for MotoGP, Gears 5, Ori, and Forza.
You can argue that you might spend more money on buying non-refundable games that you don't enjoy.

Ended up backfiring immensely, and they ended up conceding the fact you needed to have Xbox Live to play F2P games like Fortnite. I'd imagine this largely doesn't matter because if you only ever played Fortnite, why would you ever have a console to begin with?. The initial thought is that they jacked up the price to force people to switch to the Game Pass, but again, this will probably happen naturally as Xbox starts to slang their exclusives out in this year and the next. So part of me wonders if they just did this as a massive publicity stunt. The head of Xbox didn't even agree with it, and I can't help but wonder if this made this statement with the full intent to retract it that same day. Like I've never see an announcement like this get retracted 8 hours later, it's almost unbelievable. It gives the appearance that they truly are for the customers and would be willing to rescind their increase and then end up losing more than what they started with. Would set the precedent moving forward that they are for the gamers and not for the corporation. Whereas with Sony I know they are very moreso set in their ways and really wouldn't do something like this.
You already pay between $5-$10 on XBL depending on your subscription, so whats another $5 or $10 to get the GamePass. It would be illogical to not get the GamePass once Halo Infinite already comes out. So call it $60 a year for XBL, and then call it Halo Infinite and Scorn for $60-$70 bucks a piece. You are now at a net add of $200, when you could get all that for free and more for $180 on the GamePass. If you own an Xbox and don't switch to the Game Pass Ultimate (XBL w/ GP) you're really losing out imo. Hell they honestly could have jacked the GamePass price up to $20 a month and I wouldn't even mind.
Right now in this last year I've played these through GamePass, just to name a few, there's a couple more
Gears 5 - $40
Halo MCC - $40
The Witcher III - $40
Minecraft - $30
Forza Horizon 4 - $60
What Remains of Edith Finch - $20
Fuzion Frenzy - $10
Total cost of just these games are $240 which eclipses the $180 you'd pay to play all of these for "free". This isn't even including the Bethesda backlog, EA Play, and potentially the rumored Ubisoft Play. I mean they are putting great games on right now that you can play for free, but once the exclusives start dropping, the pressure will be on to see if they are as critically acclaimed as Sony's. Say what you want about both consoles but the sheer value of content you get for the Xbox for your buck greatly outpaces that of Sony. If Sony ever lost the rights to Spider-Man, I feel like their entire company would collapse on itself.Last edited by JStrez; 01-25-2021 at 08:51 AM.

Please explain
Strong disagree. Value is dependent on the consumer. Personal tastes aside and generalizing towards the majority it's very simple, if you want quantity Xbox is better value, if you want quality PS is the better value.
LoL@ thinking Spiderman is the only thing holding Sony together. That is one of the dumbest comments I have read on these forums and I have seen a lot of Jay360 posts. But who was Horizon, Sushi, God of War, Uncharted, The Last of Us, Days Gone, Bloodborne, Persona 5, Rachet, and on and on..... And if they did lose the rights to Spiderman, Insomniac would just make another great game.

I feel like every gamer who enjoyed god of war never played the originals. I’m just seeing this. Most people who played the originals have compared them to the latest one and how this new one is lacking in comparison with the graphics exception of course.
