Wrong. You dont get a dog like that or Belgian malinois and be a passive owner. You NEED to treat that dog with constant and strict dicipline from the start or they will be extremely difficult to handle.
If you get dog 2 to keep dog 1 company you are already doing it wrong and not accepting you need to spend more time with what is essentially a machine that self programs. For other family dogs you can do it but not these breeds.Athletics > Aesthetics
I guess its time to start training again.

I hate this kind of approach to dogs. You should still be able to discipline it with a more positive approach. No need to act like an Arab about it.
I think he said "SPEAK" to the dog. Speak is an awful command to teach to a puppy. Teaching them handshake is bad too. You're just encouraging him to bark and paw at you

Adult female black bear: 36" tall (on all fours) and up to 200 lbs
OP's dog: 30" tall and up to 220 lbs
OP dun fuked up.“The Misc. is a stone-faced Uncle Sam with Popeye’s forearms and a cocked pistol in each hand. It’s a screeching bald eagle with a foreign Bad Thing in its talons. It’s everything that defines America’s bro culture, magnified and weaponized. But it’s deeper than that.“

you idiot, lol
You better check your homeowner insurance contract, if that dog bites someone and it is on the excluded list on your liability, you are on the hook for the damages out of pocket.
The average cost of treating a dog bite was $56,000 in damages paid in 2017.
and lol at letting that dog on your couch, another boundary broken.

Lol, the only reason to have a large guard dog is if you’re working in a foreign country that’s unstable or you’re a drug dealer srs. And even then I’d only get a highly trained tactical Belgian Malinois for $30k in the case of a foreign country, a pack of well trained rotts if a drug dealer. You live in the burbs bro...
Personally my guard dog is a 12 pound Maltipoo that is alert as fuk. He’s the eyes and ears. The 250 lb adult male gorilla behind the leash is the fire power.

Disagreed.
I have a friend who's dog is the most disciplined dog I have ever laid my hands and eyes on. I was in utter shock at how calm, well raised and HUMAN LIKE this dog was. Never barked or anything. Always acts good. Loves his owner, but at the same time knows its boundaries. I think it's a Belgian Malinois or a mix of this (really short hair everywhere). My friend has also been to military dog training school and knows his stuff.
I was seriously mind blown at this dog. Eyes and the act of a human

Bullmastiffs are excellent dogs. College roommate had a brindle colored one and he was extremely sweet and lazy. Believe it or not he would have been perfect in an apartment since all he ever did was lay around, want you to pet him and slobber on you. If a stranger rolled up him outside he would do an earth shaking bark and bow up at them but wouldn't bite. Love those dogs
Never seen an English pointer but German shorthaired pointers are really good dogs. Like a more serious golden retriever6'2"
