think about hangin out with people in the 90s or even early 2000s you never had these clownworld topics or depressing convos about the end of the world etc. there was an abrupt disruption in human behavior around mid-late 2012 that we never recovered from. now majority of ppl behave as npc’s and they probably dont even know it

dont u think its more likely that the tech/media elites promoted perverse social trends than physicists at CERN...?

i think media/tech influences social trends more than particle physics experiments...

Very right OP, people and the environment have highly changed in the last 5 years. People get angry on little things, have less patience now, are less accepting and less respectful of each other, would do anything to win an argument... really feels like everyone has become cold hearted although not everyone will show, but you can just feel it around you all the time...

Much of this can be blamed on heavy use and advancement of smart phones, economic recession, people falling short from high expectations in a highly competitive environment....

Because it goes way beyond social trends. People are literally different now. It's in their body language, how they talk, their social skills etc. And then there is globohomo which i don't understand at all. So many people now are into ****gy chit or are just weird like yesterday i went to the office Depot to buy a desk and like half the people there looked like trannies srs. You can't even tell anymore. None of this bullchit was common before 2015. And don't get me started on Indians man. In 2014 we had no Indians in our complex and then all of a sudden like 50 of them just came out of nowhere. None of this chit makes sense man. Even this forum has drastically changed it isn't the same forum as pre 2015.

Even the super happy ones seem artificial now, as if they will loose the feel at some point or are completely lost in money love..yes something crazy is going on, if something is controlling the media and the smartphones but we will never find out what group of people or organization is, the same applies to the mystery of the covid crisis.
