I feel that current Trump is done for good but in his legacy he paved the way for people outside the establishment or "non-traditional" politicians to run for president.
Now maybe Trump is in a bad spot but I do think that if he has a surrogate successor, he can still "run". I would say the best option for the GOP is Ted Cruz but he just doesn't have that Trump charisma... And then there is Lauren Boebert but lettuce beef real tea, the GOP will never elect a women.
Imo, Trump needs to choose a Hispanic successor from Texas or Florida to maintain his base there and expand inwards towards the rust belt but I don't see anyone who can do that right now.

DeSantis is the only person I can think of that would have the best chance, but I still think he'd come up well short. A lot will change in 4 years. Hell, the Democrats might cannibalize themselves before than and all the Republicans would need is a warm body.
I really think Republicans would need someone fiery like Trump and not a career politician.New England Patriot

She'll automatically lose at least a third of Trump's original base. /pol/ was already hating on trump hard even before the election because of this. /pol/ would rather vote for Saddam Hussein than her.
The right is too divided. You have you traditional conservatives, your libertarians, and your full on nazis.
The only one I can think of is Ron Paul or Rand Paul, but they're both career politicians, plus the traditionals are not too fond of them.
Other than that, maybe some celebrity, but no one as famous as trump comes to mind. Kevin Sorbo might fit the bill though, traditional, conservative Christian, supports trump, but hates them, literally ticks the box for all parties. He's pretty good looking too (no homo), and his wife is very MILFy but I don't think he has enough resources to run.Last edited by KBurn; 01-21-2021 at 09:20 PM.

How do I know this guy is an Asian? Skinny fat with a crappy hairstyle.
This is a stupid question that cannot be taken seriously. The Dems are going to dominate the political landscape at a federal level for the next 30 years. Eventually when they swarm enough red states with immigrants and Democrat refugees fleeing California and New York, they will flip those states too.
Any election that runs close will simply stop the count, find the ballots they need and pip the Republican challenger as needed
Your last chance at genuine electoral reform was with Trump. Thats gone now.

It will be interesting to see what will happen. Over 74 million people voted for him that we know of. The people support him, again, not the GOP.
I don't know what will happen, but the direction we're heading isn't good, at least not in the eyes of an enormous amount of people, and really it should be bipartisan. Maybe it is, I can't read minds.
I personally think this arrogant purge is going to win more people over to his side in the end.

First, that example is absolutely true. People are not all the same, and one of the biggest issues with our republic is that it tries to be equitable.
But second, that is not what republicans mean about the election being stolen. It was ridiculous to believe that joe Biden would generate the highest voter turnout in a century, and the complete lack of controls regarding voter registration and mail in ballots led to a situation rife with fraud| ̄ ̄ ̄ ̄ ̄ ̄ ̄ ̄ ̄ ̄ ̄|

This. You'll never see another Trump again, and he's not running in 2024. At that point he would be an unhealthy 78 and unfit for office anyway, if he's not in jail or dead. Biden is really old for president but at least he's healthy. Most presidents have been late fifties/early sixties.
And his family might try but no way they get the nomination. Republicans aren't so stupid to let this all happen again. It was the most humiliating loss in party history.

It is a bit early to begin speculating about who will lose to Biden or Harris in 2024.
