When I become a senior, I will avoid AARP. AARP's pricing for its insurance products are merely competitive.

I signed up in my 30s to get their BMW corporate discount then cancelled immediately afterwards

Their monthly magazine has decent advice on both health and finances. I don't care to eat out (and certainly not now), but you get 10% off at places like Outback Steakhouse and Denny's. You also get good pricing on hotels but probably no better than NRA. AAA, or several of the other memberships that you currently have.

We joined a while ago but wound up never using any of the "benefits", so we never renewed. Didn't seem worth it for us. YMMV

I did it for a few years when I was renting cars a lot and I got better deals than anywhere else and better cancellation/change policies.
Recently I needed a hotel and car and went through AARP but when I went to check out I found my membership had lapsed. I found I could get just as good of a deal elsewhere. I'm not a member of anything else that gets me deals, but maybe I don't need that now.
They send a continuous LOAD of junk mail.
