It's already banned, just not enforced since most people don't care. There is a sign at the front of almost every major chain store that says "no dogs" and I still see them all the time.

I take my dog to the supermarket sometimes. Like 3-4 yrs ago sometimes they would ask if it was a service dog, we would say no, and they would say ok come in anyway


Now they don’t give a fuk. But I have an ankle bitter not a pitbull

don't care as long they're not attacking anyone. cats on the other hand might be different, especially in grocery stores, because they tend to jump all over the place, and that's unsanitary.
