Question What keeps you sticking to your diet?

Why don't you give in? Why not have that juicy fatty tasty cheeseburger? What stops you from eating it?

Nothing stops me from eating that juicy fatty tasty cheeseburger, as long as it fits within my weekly "calorie budget".

    The streak I have dieting.
I also would say that a cheese burger is fine if you are doing CICO correctly but...

Why would I eat that meal when it will likely mess up the past 3 or 4 days of dieting, as well as the next 3 or 4 days?

Why are you on a diet where that cheeseburger is off limits?
Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?

Why would you stop yourself from eating juicy fatty tasty cheeseburgers?? Sounds like a lame diet to me.

Honestly though, work foods like that into your diet and it'll be a million times easier to adhere to it. I've tried five or six strict diets, mostly just to see what they're like, and none of them have been remotely sustainable for me. Just focus on your calories/macros and make sure you're still getting your micros, and you'll be good to go

    Tracking and progress.

Do you like fatty cheeseburgers? Fit it in. Know that they typically range from 500 (double cheeseburger at MCDs) to 1500 cals.

The fact that if I want a fatty cheeseburger, I eat one and will still lose weight because I keep it within my calories...

Well, honestly, nowadays a greasy burger or a pizza dripping with oil sounds awful to me...

I think of how my guts would just suffer and it totally puts me off.

However, I can easily find something just as delicious (or more) that won't turn my stomach.

I still eat pizza, sandwiches (or 'burgers'), ice cream, cereal, cookies, etc....

But they comprise such a tiny amount of my total intake that it's just a drop in the bucket.

To actually get FULL from pizza or a burger/fries, i'd have to eat an amount that would make my body feel awful.

In the past, I found it VERY easy to eat terribly processed, salty, greasy food because I wasn't active. Exercise is a great control mechanism to keep you on track... you simply won't FEEL as good if you only eat highly palatable processed junk.

But I mean, I love every meal I eat, just in different ways... whether it's my protein oatmeal, greek yogurt topped with cereal, burritos, wraps, salmon and potatoes...

If you can fit a big burger and fries in your weekly calorie allotment then its fine. When I'm super focused though I stay pretty faithful to not eating those things. When I'm down in the low 1700 area it's hard to fit that stuff in without having to go a lot lower on some of the other days.

I eat "Cheeseburgers" a couple of times a week.

I just cut back on a few hundred other calories worth of food on those days.

    It's no big deal.

If I really wanted one I would just make a lower calorie version myself.

I'd grab some low calorie buns and lean beef and load it up with veggies and could probably have 2-3 for the same amount of calories than one from a restaraunt.

The fact that i haven't been sick on a hospital before is inspiring me to stay away from the unhealthy food.
Also waking up in the morning looking at my shredded body in the mirror gives me a satisfaction that i wouldn`t trade for couple of moments of joy.
Beside I like to lie to myself and said that I never liked eating that greasy junk garbage called food.

The first time you make significant progress you'll look in the mirror and appreciate how much dedication, discipline and effort it had taken you to get there. Depending on how much you like the results you'll instantly make lifestyle changes that will prevent you from going back to the beginning. The key is to not give up before you see results

this is a hopeful scenario however so many people go back to their old diet once they see that they’ve leaned out to a certain point
