Got to pull double duty as I am still working from home for the foreseeable future.
And we have a nice tasteful home so no neon yellow or red chairs.
A built in buttkicker in the seat would be nice but reading the built in ones suck.
Don't need built in sound.

What is your budget? I am looking for the same. I work from home 10 hours a week. My current Ikea chair that I got for like $30 is on its way out. I have looked around for some that were in stock at Office Depot and most of the sub $200 kind of feel cheap. There is a $199 Lazy Boy office chair at Costco that isn't bad but I don't think the arms adjust and will not fit under my desk. They have a DPS 3-D Insight gaming chair with Ok reviews for $169 but none in stock. Report back here with what you end up getting. I am not really looking to spend more than like $250 but the ones I really like are $400+.

I think they're $1200 new, but you can get them used for like $200-$400. Mine is 20 years old (I bought it used) and is great
I've had a lot of the "gaming" chairs like DxRacer, and most of them are just cheap gimmicks.+++ Positive Crew +++

I got my current desk chair from a thrift shop, some of them are actually really nice and get some high-end furniture. Mine is a solid wooden old fashioned desk chair with a leather seat cushion. It's the perfect size and way better built than anything you would find at most office supplies stores, made with real materials unlike most new stuff. Might not be the best thing for someone who lives on their computer all day, but it's perfect for me and gives a nice classy look to my desk area.

Same, I was looking at the costco gaming chair too, but think I might get one of their other ones online.
A good chair runs at least 250-400.
I like the OMEGA gaming chairs but they’re too expensive.
I got a gaming chair from Wayfair last April for $120 on sale and by August it was deflating itself and wouldn’t hold position. & now the seat cushion is out and I can feel the metal base sitting on it. & also it has a 6 degree lean to the right which really fcked up my hips. It contributed to a pinched nerve from it and been going to the chiropractor the last 6 weeks.
TLDR.
Seat cushion and a strong hydraulic/base is important.Asian Crew. Always Rep Back Crew. Positivity Crew.

I could go 500 but not buying new for a grand. I can expense it or at least half but our majority owner would WTF me if it was over 500 probably.
Sams had some Respawn chairs that were ghetto looking but surprisingly comfortable. More comfy than the lazy boys they were sitting beside.
Just looked up those Omega chairs look awesome. The adjustable arms would be good since I am flight simming or playing Elite Dangerous half the time with controls to either side.
Plus the recline looks good so I could bloat and rot max while VRing and flying around.
I would prefer 3 hundy to 5 though, but you get what you pay for I guess.Stern Crew

I don't have a chair to recommend but I've had a chair cushion that helps my old chair
https://purple.com/seat-cushions/office-chair
I got it as a gift but I understand it's pricey for a cushion. They have cheaper options as well. I've had it for a year and a half so far and it feels great to sit in.
I can't say how I would feel about it if I had paid full price though so I can't give a proper reviewDisclaimer: All posts made by [LtGoose] are works of satire. By reading this you agree to absolve the author of any and all liability.

If you haven't already, you may want to look into an adjustable sit/stand desk converter. I got one on Amazon for less than $150. When my back starts hurting, I can stand for a while and still work.
This is the one I got, but there are less expensive ones:

Got this one, 2 years old and not a scratch or wear on the leather yet. Lumbar pillow for the lower back is great. Arm rests are configurable in every dimension.

I can't recommend one but whatever you do don't buy a secret labs titan chair. I have one and for the price tag its super uncomfortable and already falling apart (had it 3 years). Also the arm rests dont come high enough up so instead of being able to rest my elbows at a 90 degree angle and have my whole forearm flat. My wrists touch but elbows dont reach lol. Honestly i regret buying it.
For reference im 6'3 270ish/

Actually purchased that lazyboy chair for the wife a while back, she likes it but I can't stand leather chairs. Can confirm that the armrests only flip up a bit.
I second the steelcase leap suggestions, got mine for $300 from my old university when they did a building remodeling. It doesn't have a headrest and I cba to buy one to attach, so it's not the best chair to recline in.
I've only sat in an aeron for brief periods but found them to be comfortable as well, they're universally praised for a reason.lmao I was like lmao
