Good video. Skipped around to various parts. Hard to see how people continue to defend the game when like that video shows there are video games in the early 2000s with better game mechanics.

I quit playing. Will finish it once they fix the game, and when the next gen update is out. Not convinced they'll be able to fix everything that needs to be fixed though.

Barely got started. Played a like 10 hours when it launched and just never came back to it. Figured I'll just revisit it when I get a 3 series gpu and they patch it up.

That's the thing though, people mention patches, playing on a high end PC (which I do), etc. but none of that can fix the fact that the game itself is lacking almost every feature advertised that they marketed to sell the game, as well as basic AI for literally every NPC...

If they fixed the bugs and performance, it'd probably still just be a 5.5-6/10 for me.

skimmed most of the video and agree with most points. Game has no substance within the actual gameplay. Driving around felt dull from the very beginning and they even give you a motorcycle to make up for the ****ty driving but it just isn't fun at all.
zero sense of speed at all.

Yep, how I feel .... The game is still very good and impressive in some parts, but o lawdy did they fuk up this one big big bigly. Especially with all the false promises and cut content.... Played 30 hours, hardly touched the main quest, but I've scratched my cyberpunk itch and havnt played the game since last year. I'm just gonna patiently wait until they fix this game and see what kinda stuff comes in with the updates, but i'm not holding my breath for anything substantial within this year.


I also dont think they will give this the No Mans Sky treatment, instead they'll try fix the most glaring bugs and quietly go back to developing the next game. We're never gonna get a full "reboot" of the game in the sense that cut content and stuff making its way back into the game. All I see is bug fixes and QOL fixes.

Got that feeling as well. Alot of content cut that will never see the light of day. Looking at past games, i'm sure they agree on the fact that by adding content won't repair their reputation. Although Witcher 3 still sells well. One can hope.

Has there ever been an example of a gaming developer going outside their niche and finding success? Bioware abandoned rpg’s for a destiny like game in anthem...tanked. Bethesda abandoned single player rpgs for a multiplayer fallout 76...tanked. Cdproject red abandoned a sparse fantasy setting rpg for a dense urban fps game that couldnt make up its mind if it was an adventure or rpg game.

Gaming companies need to stick with what theyre good at. Not see what other studios are having success with and try to replicate it

Cdproject red relies on sales from one game to hold them over to the next since they dont release games that often. This games rollout could really hurt their cash flow the next year or two, especially with these lawsuits that will likely get settled out of court for some undisclosed fee. and their ability to get future financing is going to be really crunched due to the games reception. I could see a bigger company gobbling them up like a shark just to get access to the witcher universe
