At least you're now showing your pathetic bandwagonism outside the Bucs thread now.

Congrats on that and abandoning your actual team early on in the season.

In 1996 Jordan won his 4th ring beating the Sonics in Game 6 87-75

It was a sloppy game, lots of fouls, lots of defense, lots of poor shooting

Jordan himself shot .286 from the field. The Bulls shot .397 as a team. The Sonics .450 as a team.

But Jordan also drew fouls and got to the free throw line where he went 11/12. He only scored 22 points

But like I said it was a sloppy game. And sometimes drawing a foul and getting to the line is enough to win those types of games. Doesn’t matter he sucked ass from the field, which he definitely did.

Same for Brady tonight. It was tough sledding for both offenses. Sometimes it’s about taking better care of the ball than the other guy. And Brady took better care of the ball than the other guy.

Any questions? Some of you have no idea how to win relentlessly. You don’t always win the same way and you have to know how to adapt in the moment to do enough to get the win.

    That’s greatness.

    Edit:

By comparison, a QB who isn’t as great is struggling in a defensive oriented game gets frustrated after awhile. They start pressing, then start making mistakes. They start forcing it. They can’t adapt and win. Things aren’t flowing for them and the roof collapses.

Sure the defense won the game. But it was the QB who wasn’t able to handle being out of his element that compounded that into mistakes on his end allowing the other teams D to have a slightly better game than his teams D

That’s the difference. And really Brees isn’t likely to be susceptible to that very often either, he’s a great QB, but tonight he was a little more likely than Brady to buckle and that was the difference.
Tried to rep you but I’m on spread with you.

This is what I meant lol. Just didn’t go into this detail.

The fact that all the turnovers landed them in or close to field goal range is what gave them 30 points.

The offense did just enough to convert in those situations. They basically just leant on the running game, screens, passes to the flats etc to keep it safe and let the defense win the game

it was a tactical game - Bress and Brady were just managing the game.

You can't blame Brady for Goodwin drops and yeah the D gave him great possessions but those could have been easily FG and/or stops by the Saints.

how many active QB can manage such a tactical game nowadays? being safe/smart with the football and scoring 30 ain't as easy as it sounds

If Brees really is going to retire, I wonder if they roll the dice with Hill and Jameis or try to go all in with Deshaun Watson?

14 conference championship games 19 full years as a starting QB is relevant. That is over 70%. I'm still pissed he left the Patriots but you can't deny that.

What you miss is the intangibles he brings. Aaron Rodgers is terrific, but he has zero leadership skills.

That's my point. Brady didn't win the game" and saying Brady retired Brees is laughable. Brees hasn't been himself for a couple years and he's gotten worse with each consecutive year. His age just caught up to him big time this season. Idiots are giving Brady all the credit when he doesn't deserve it.

Because your question was ****ing retarded and your being a bandwagon bitch is more relevant.

Yes, you abandoned the Pats when you started homering for the Bucs.

It wasn't a stupid question, you just didn't like how the question would give credit to Brady.

You should check out my post history if you think I abandoned the Patriots at any point this season.

Also, you're looking really stupid with this obsession over me. Your lady emotions are causing you to think irrationally.

I’d assume a large amount of the cap issues would be solved by him retiring? Not sure if it’s accurate, but what I saw was his cap hit was set to be $36.15 million

I read that it would leave over $20m dead money, I think the Saints are done for the next 2-3 years

Yep--$22+ million in dead cap money with Brees retiring. The Saints Super Bowl window has closed for the foreseeable future.

They have an elite defense, and great weapons on offense, so they'd be best served by starting Hill/Winston next season, bombing, and drafting a top QB in the next draft.

    Yep

There is no more "forcing the window open". We have to tear down to the ground and start over. If we're good, it will only take 2-3 seasons ala the colts, vikings etc.

It is so stupid that someone who retires creates dead cap space. Any guaranteed money should be paid out to the person that retired and then completely taken off the books.

If you want to lay the 2 “almost interceptions” at Brady’s feet than you also have to give him credit for the TDs that hit Gronk and Godwin in the hands
