Is the greatest car flick of all time.
I remember back in 2000 one afternoon I walked to the movie theater under peer pressure to go watch the dirty movie called "Scary Movie" so I could fit in. I was 11 years old. My plan was to purchase a ticket to a random film and sneak into the Scary Movie viewing. I bought one ticket to Gone in Sixty Seconds. When I walked into the theater my guilty conscious took over and the good boy that I was programmed to be walked myself into the viewing which I paid for.
One of the best decisions I made. What a legendary film.

I grew up my whole life browsing and reading car magazines. Ferraris, Porsches, Lambos, Corvettes, Supras, NSX, and even drooled over an SVT Cobra as a Mustang hater.
Owned the original Need For Speed on PC https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Need_for_Speed.
That movie blew me away, and like you it fueled my automotive addiction to the point of no return.

He can suck it. You kidding me?
My friend had an 03 terminator... That thing STOCK would walk my fully bolted G35 like it wasn't moving while I'd be flooring it and he'd be in the wrong gear. It wax everything. We would be glued to the screen watch 160MPH videos and replicate them... He ended up dropping in a brand new crate engine with a Kenne Bell... Even though that made the car stupid fast, in a way it neutered the car somehow. It was perfect with pulley, intake and exhaust.
He sold it at a steal of a price of $19K with all the mods. Regrets it to this day and is always looking... We almost split a Cobra R at some kind of police auction and the starting bid was absurd so we walked away.

lolz... I am a fkn die hard car guy so watching this movie , I was in absolute love with the cars... of course especially the GT500 , just everything about it.. the look , the sound even though it was likely fake...
(See below for the exact scene with an idle clip I will still watch the movie to catch over and over again)
But lets face it , the fkng acting with goddamn horrible.. the only thing that saved the movie were the cars

They are fkn everywhere.. what once was something amazing has been flooded with variations of complete $hit to the point I got tired of seeing them..
But.. intradesting story..
One broad owns the trademark to the "Eleanor" Mustang and will absolutely take your $hit if you call your Mustang "Eleanor". There was a Youtuber (B is for Build) who buys wrecked cars and turns them into fkn gold... He had bought a wrecked 2015 Mustang GT and was throughout a series of youtube videos dropping a 1967 Mustang Fastback on the S550 chassis.. and calling it Eleanor... yeah he lost that fkn car because of a name
