I posted progress pictures on here when I finished my cut at the end of 2019. At that time I had also recorded a few videos of some poses but never shared them anywhere.
This video summarizes my weight loss / fitness journey in 27 seconds with a few poses at the end and figured I would share it here. I have been maintaining 14-15 lbs heavier than at the end of my cut in this video.
Hope everyone is doing well!

My weight loss video with some posing at the end
Bodybuilding is much more than an hour in the gym a few days a week---it's a lifestyle that changes all your perceptions about how to live, eat, and rest. It feeds the mind as much (and sometimes more so) than the body.

Thanks ecto, I have backed off some with currently lifting full body 2 to 3 days per week instead of 4 days per week like I did for a couple years. I have another hobby now so I am content with mostly maintenance although I did set a PR recently for 3 sets of 8 in barbell squats.
The reason I changed my diet and started work it out in the first place was to improve my health. Currently being up 14 pounds is still a healthy weight and I can pretty much eat what I want.
Edit to add - I did not cut this past summer so have a full year and-a-half of bulk/gaintaining so if I decide to cut down this summer it will be interesting.Last edited by tblodg15; 01-17-2021 at 02:15 PM.

Thanks!
Yes from the beginning of this video at 228 lbs to the end of the video at 165 lbs was just under 3 years. I lifted seriously for a couple years in high school and I have a naturally stocky build so I probably started carry more muscle than the average guy. I have now been at it for just over 4 years and maintaining around 179 lbs.Bodybuilding is much more than an hour in the gym a few days a week---it's a lifestyle that changes all your perceptions about how to live, eat, and rest. I'm in a maintenance mode too. Not sure how you handle weigh ins, but anymore, I only weigh when I'm sure that I'm back to my preferred weight. I cycle weekly eating whatever I want on the weekends then dialing it way back during the week. When I have that "yeah, probably 172-173" look (my preferred weight ATM), then I'll weigh myself

I definitely eat more calories and pretty much whatever I want on the weekends and then dial it back during the week. I have done that the entire time even when I was losing weight for a year and-a-half I still ate more on the weekends. But even in maintenance mode I still weigh myself and document in my spreadsheet every single day. It’s just a little higher on Mon & Tue 😳
